The record is full of varieties and makes the listener relax. Actually, you got to be relaxed to listen to this carefully, otherwise, you may hate it.

Ariana Grande started her career with an excellent and polished Pop-R&B with her teen vibes included. Then, the singer decided to go for a total mainstream vibe with her 2nd studio album. She found herself in "Dangerous Woman" afterward, which is a bright and smart pop. Two years later, she brought her mature but boring "Sweetener", which sounded bitter. If Cats was an entire studio album, it would be this one. I say that because this album is super weird. The beginning is very monotonous, and it seems that you're listening to the same song for ages. From the middle to the end, it becomes better. I can't deny it's exceptionally cohesive and different from what other artists from the genre are doing. Wait, I kinda could not get its genre...
Maybe it should've been an EP with the proper tracks.
