Vince Staples - Cry Baby
75

Vince comes out with yet another impressive project here, the lyrical ability he possesses and ability to float on traps are what makes this album very special, what i want to criticize here is that the tracks here follows the album name a bit to well, even if he acknowledges serious police issues in America for me it makes the songs predictable and repetitive. Thanks to Vince’s amazing ability the predictably is not that big of an issue that’s why I’m feeling a 7,5/10

Paul McCartney - The Boys of Dungeon Lane

The feeling this album gives me is incredible, the deep and precise lyrics pared with a more modern style of Beatles production really captures my ears for this project, this is most likely Paul’s strongest album in his solo career. Taking everything into consideration id give this album a 8/10.

The Notorious B.I.G. - Life After Death

This album contains fantastic rapping which is well integrated with the entertaining 90s east coast production. While I do found the rapping to be amazing i find myself enjoying the less gangsta rap tracks be lacking something that i can’t really put my finger on but there is something that puts me off on those tracks but the project is still impressive in every way that’s why I’m giving it an 8/10 but it could have been higher if the calmer tracks were produced to be more ... read more

GZA - Liquid Swords

This is to me The strongest piece of music from any Wu-Tang artist in their respective solo careers. While GZAs rapping is strong what stands out from the rapping area of the project is the features for example ghost face killah on duel of the iron mic as he lays down such impressive and slick bars, the song as a whole contains amazing rapping from every artist taking part on it this is just a song in the beginning that lays ground for every song to come here.

Björk - Vespertine

I want to start this review by saying that the vocal performances on this record belong in the Louvre, From Björk’s fascinating singing to the haunting and powerful ways she uses her voice makes every performance feel beautiful.

The production is equally important to the end product, creating a sound unlike anything else. Tiny string noises and subtle background details are used throughout the album, giving it an almost otherworldly feeling.

My favorite song on the album is Pagan ... read more

Lil Baby - Street Gossip

It’s just your average trap album it’s genuinely nothing special except “pure cocaine” which is one of the biggest trap songs of the 2010s but other than its mediocre and boring.

Magdalena Bay - Imaginal Disk

To start this review off I have to say I’m pleasantly surprised with how fantastic the writing is on this project. On the song “Watching T.V”the lead singer delivers this “if you wanna be clean you got to scrub until the blood comes out, get the spots in between, slip your skin right off and hang it out” it’s such a creative verse that honestly caught me off guard the first time, Magdalena Bay then follows the verse up with “ look out behind you the ... read more

Lupe Fiasco - Lupe Fiasco's Food & Liquor

What an album, I believe this to be Lupe’s best album and potentially the best debut album oat.

Lupe starts the album insanely strong with real, just might be okay and one of the best from his entire catalog being kick push all of these tracks explore different subjects but what stands out here is the kick push song were Lupe not only bring skateboard rap to the limelight but also tells a love story, the lyrical value you find is absolutely insane on here.

A little later you get the ... read more

JAY-Z - The Blueprint

With impressive lyrics matched with fantastic flow this album stands out as one of Jays best album to date.

Kanye’s production is very noticeable and extremely well done, on the track heart of the city jay explores a way of rapping we don’t se from him to often were the production actually is the high point of the song and that really fits on this album for me.

with everything considered this is one of the best rap albums of the early 2000s that’s why I’m feeling an ... read more

I believe this is one of the best albums of the 1990s. The songwriting, vocal performances, and production are all outstanding. Kurt Cobains lyrics are powerful and memorable, while Dave Grohl’s drumming is extremely captivating and special. His performance throughout the album is a major reason why the songs feel the way they do.

I don’t think there’s really anything that needs improving on this album. Every song is fantastic and carries meaning. For example, ... read more

Freddie Gibbs & The Alchemist - Alfredo

Fantastic rapping mixed with amazing production is precisely what Freddie Gibbs and the alechemist managed to put out with this record, the tracks frank Lucas and something to rap about are have such amazing rapping on them while the songs 1985 and God is perfect contain insane production, all and all this record is absolutely amazing.

Patti Smith - Gone Again

It was a pretty decent album imo the highlight was beneath the southern cross, a mix of a emotional singing matched with great instrumental performances, all and all it’s a decent project.

Red Hot Chili Peppers - Californication
70

It’s a very enjoyable pretty funky rock record, it’s different it’s cool it’s fun, i really enjoyed the production on this but I do feel as the writing is not really that great, but the songs scar tissue,Californiacation and the velvet ground are the best songs on here and they are all phenomenal.

Adele - 19
65

I thinks it’s a pretty good pop album but this definitely is her worst album which doesn’t mean it’s bad since it’s Adele we are talking about, the song writing is alright-good I would say the same for the production, the singing is fantastic as usual for Adele, this record is good but it doesn’t give me what I’m looking for when listening to Adele but it still is good, that’s why I came to the conclusion that it deserves a 6,5/10

David Bowie - The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars
100

Wow what an album, the song writing is just so outstanding on every song the singing performances match it it’s amazing, the production on this project is also something you don’t see very often just look at starman its done so very well. The album is something different, not only is David Bowie a experimental artist but this record is the best experiment he’s ever made on this he was a scientist it’s amazing and is so very deserving of a 10/10

Amy Winehouse - Lioness: Hidden Treasures
75

It’s a good project with a few nice songs decent production decent writing and decent song performances but what really stands out to me is the song like some featuring NAS it’s a fantastic song and one of the best feature performances ever from the him.

Amy Winehouse - Frank

It’s a great pop/soul record, the song writing the singing and the production are fantastic i do feel that it’s not quite as good as her project back to black but that is a difficult milestone to reach. The album has very few low points to me realistically not 1 other than that it is slightly repetitiv but for me when it’s this good it’s not an issue.

Nujabes - Modal Soul
75

I feel as it does have pretty decent rapping performances on both feathers ,and luvsic3 but that’s not really just a song for the album, I do feel as the rapping is generally lacking a little bit on most of the other songs, the high point really is the production as you would expect on a nujabes project, the way he makes it so calming yet so interesting does really capture me, it’s a great record that’s why i came to the conclusion of it being a 7,5.

Beastie Boys - Check Your Head
50

It’s an avenge rap album from the 90s, the song writing is bland the vocal performances are far from special, the only thing I did enjoy here was the rock rap production och certain songs. Beastie boys made just you’re average east coast 90s album not good not horrible but it’s nothing special.

Prince - For You
65

I think it’s a decent album, alright production with alright song writing, what stood out to me was the vocal performances where prince really showed why he is as decorated as he is. All and all it’s a decent album but it’s nothing that special that’s why I came to the conclusion of 65/100
