this album was wonderfully produced by kaytra (as usual) but the features were great too. some duds but that didn't stop anything -- it kept flowin. my favourite tracks production wise are do it, go dj, and september 21. feature wise: go dj, 10% -- and my overall favourite -- freefall.
i listened to this months go but forgot to rate. i really liked this EP. after submarine, I knew I had so much more in their discog to look forward to -- and this did not disappoint. my favourites were cariño, over the moon, and probably abq.
probably one of the best things that'll drop this year. they brought every element from mid air, improved it, and took out the fluff. this is almost perfect.
this album was such an experience. the highs were so high. never was a fan of beyonce and i know im years late, but this album truly is as generational as yall say it is. the cuff it, energy, break my soul run is INSANE. the end is amazing. the songs are a lil freaky though...
rating the 4 new songs. this was so beautiful. what great additions to the already great deluxe.
this is the first club album i've listened to in full and wow i have no regrets. the highs and lows of this album (not in quality, but emotion) create a whole new dynamic to the club music i'm normally used to hearing. loved almost every song on here--except mean girls, sadly--but otherwise everything sounded great!
i'm late to the hype train but wow! this album is truly amazing. almost every single song i enjoy in a different way wether it was his singing, the instrumentals, or BOTH. this would be my first "A" rated album in a while so i'm glad i was able to find some S tier music after all this time.
finally listened to my first radiohead album in full and i am surprised to say the least. this album felt comfortable. it's simplicities were striking and it's big moments were huge. love the / song along with nude, house of cards, and jigsaw falling into place.
woah this was so refreshing. this LP sounds so great sonically and i wish the band didn't break up SO QUICK?? hope i can find more stuff like this.
love the movie but that's besides the point. this is one of the best soundtracks i've ever heard--i just had to rate it. pretty solid and sounds great. some songs i don't think i'll listen to more than once but others i've had on repeat since whenever. great soundtrack.
i'm so glad tay brought this album back to streaming! was one of my favorites until it left about 2 years ago--it still is. owstn is a unique, stripped-back, vocally-strong LP that i can't get enough of. songs like ctcl, wanna be, and run away are some of the bests from this album. i wish he was more popular so people could see his talent. can't wait for his next LP.
i'm back! first album i remember to rate in a month. sza's "deluxe" album LANA is pretty good. there were a few songs that did feel pretty boring, but they were sufficient. 30 for 30, another life, and drive were all so good. sza struggles with making bad music, fortunately.
cartis debut is undisputably his best work yet. wlr and self-titled are really cool, but this LP takes the cake. great production, raps, and feats. maybe 1-2 songs that i dont really fw too much which is why this is a mid b.
love this album but some of the songs have yet to hit my rotation. definitely an amazing album though--a classic even.
easily kalis best. every song is sonically amazing and her voice is so mesmorizing. love ms uchis.
if anyone says this is better than pink tape, they're lying. such mediocre tracks from uzi. and i'm not one who doesn't like things. but i genuinely disliked more than a handful of these tracks. uzi, do better...
i am not one to dislike an album. my average rating is a b-. but this "album" was not it for me. i always heard good things about westside but idk this js doesn't move me. i know he can do better and thats why i wont bash him as an artist. one of my least favorites of the year...
such a calm album. not bad in any sense--but it doesnt stand out to me either. great bars and raps though.
