There's clearly a lot here that I'm not getting. I'll need to go through their previous group's work (Injury Reserve) to really internalize everything. But I can at least tell that there's some mourning of a lost friend or loved one going on here.

If you like Lamb of God, this will not surprise you or go in any unexpected directions. But it is their best album in a while.

I was not expecting a lot from this, but damn, that was really strong. If you like southern rock, you'll really like this.

Comparisons to Kendrick (they are cousins, after all) are inevitable, and while I don't think he's on the same level, I still enjoy what he brings to the table.

This was better than last year's album. Marcus Mumford's a good songwriter, and he has a good knack for guests artists who make sense (Chris Stapleton, Hozier, Gracie Abrams)

This is their best album since "Plastic Beach". Its themes, its scope, its (oddly emotional) through line... yeah, this is an all-timer.

Country may not be my go-to genre, but I will take a look at some country artists that I think are worth the investment. Zach Bryan is one of them. I may not like just how long this album is, but I'd rather have someone like him than someone like Morgan Wallen.
