This album is no joke, Public Enemy in their 60’s release would could be rap album of the year! Today’s rappers could certainly learn a thing or two from these legends!
She’s obviously good if your into this sort of thing, I’m not, so rated best I could considering….
The Foreign Air I remember that I saw live back in 2019 was a lot more raw with more of an edge. Go back and listen to Free Animal on their For The Light EP from 2016. This album is a decent listen, kind of a cross between Twenty One Pilots and Joywave at times, but a little vanilla. Smile, The Heist and The Hive are my three favs, with Smile easily being the headliner. That being said, their older stuff hits a lot harder. They have regressed IMO.
How is he still doing this at 89 years young? Another solid effort from one of the Blues all time greats!
Grab a friend, mix everything in the liquor cabinet, take a bunch of shots and a hit of acid, hop on keyboard and mic, lay down some tracks, run through google translate and you too can make this record!
Some cool beats and dance grooves, can we get a different rapper? See You Dance is pretty wild, only track that hit my library.
Not Enough Time is one of the best pop rock tracks to come out of the 90’s! Beautiful Girl, Taste It and Wishing Well are all solid tracks. The rest is just kinda ok.
Not your grandma’s punk band! Refreshingly different, but I don’t see myself listening again.
Poor man’s version of Ben Folds releases a rainy day bedroom snoozer, highlighted by two standout tracks. Afterlife and June Guitar are actually solid tracks that kept this rating from dropping below 60. Lost interest by track 7. Far and Wide sounds childish. “Is It Still You In There?” Umm no, I checked out a long time ago! Maybe stick with the indie label….
Decent comeback album here from Chance. I can really groove with Ride, Back To The Go and The Highs & The Lows. Album dips to a low on tracks 8-9 and not huge fan of 3-5, but other than that its pretty good.
Not bad. Like the message and how it starts off with Next Dream. Banshee Walk is pretty good. Then it drops off a bit into mediocrity. Ok but no need to listen again.
The vocals alone make this nearly unlistenable. Sounds worse than amateur hour country. It’s like if i ran up and grabbed the mic at karaoke for a country tune! The lyrics are supposed to be filled with interesting characters and wit. Maybe it just sounded so bad I lost focus?
I don’t understand the hype? Maybe I’m just getting old but it just sounds like run of the mill explicit talk-rap to me!
For those abstract art school peeps, save your time if that’s not your thing!
