Sounds like Adam Levine should have stuck with The Voice. It’s not as bad as it’s getting ripped apart on here, but that groovy Maroon 5 sound is gone and it sounds pretty stale. The first two tracks are ok and Jealousy Problems is kinda cool.
Pretty solid leadoff track. The rest sounds like a Disney album. It’s got that teeny bopper sound. I like the title, does that count? That guy’s voice though…
Gets off to a good start with fun intro and “Jealous” is great. “Magic” has its moments, but after that it just starts to error more on the corny side. I like what they tried to do here with adding a disco kind of splash, it just didn’t quite work.
Just average run of the mill hip hop/rap. I do like that it’s not filled with explicit lyrics. Shame they went away from their roots of their first two albums. Never have been able to recapture that magic!
Album falls flat overall, but there are some noteworthy songs. Nothing on the Wild and Home in Hometown really bring out that classic Eli Young Band country sound. All Good with Me and Im Yours Amen are solid too. Probably enough here for die hard Eli Young fans, but not enough for the average listener or to draw in anyone new.
Explicit children’s music for adults only? Comes with terrible Cyndi Lauper samples (They wanna have fun)!
The back half of the album is fantastic, tracks 5-10. It’s like a different band laid down 1-4.
Raw and cutting edge in a time when grunge ruled. One of the most influential to my college music days. The album is so much more than Creep, yes that is a generational hit, but the album plays through as a gem start to finish.
Excellent dreamy chill album start to finish with a lot of depth. Tracks 1,2,4,6 and 7 are the highlights, but even all the others keep it interesting. Just turn it on already and let go!
Bad Suns boy band? What is is? Can we get the old Bad Suns indie rock band back please?
Nowhere near my favorite Black Keys album and not crazy about the direction, but it’s slightly better than what it’s getting credit for and not terrible.
Cool story, but overhyped, overproduced, worse versions of the original. No thanks.
Best album from the Milwaukee indie rocker. The first two tracks, Freak Flag Fly and Chemicals may be his best work all-time. Solid indie rocker listen cover to cover. Let your Freak Flag Fly, get Newski’d! And yes, he sounds a lot like Tom Petty.
R.E.M.’s so-called grunge album. I wouldn’t call it anything near grunge, but I do give them props for pushing their boundaries into a new direction with a lot of edgy guitar work. Not my favorite album from them but they pulled it off! Check out Strange Currencies and I Took Your Name for two great deeper cuts. I swear I hear cowbell on the latter and Currencies just might be my favorite track on the album.
Four bangers, two of which are genre and decade defining. If only the rest of the album was even just pretty good.
Another disappointing follow-up to the follow-up of debut album Honey Bones. Title track Rose Pink Cadillac is good, but the rest of the album feels darker and really loses all the charm Inhad felt for this artist. Will he ever get it back?
Psychedelic chill artist Dope Lemon is finally back after two disappointing follow-ups to debut album Honey Bones. Kimosabe and Miami Baby are the standouts here, but the album gets into a real nice run later on tracks 6-8 as well. It’s really a pretty solid listen all the way through if you’re in that frame of mind. But isn’t that true for any album?
Kind of a disappointing follow up to debut album. It’s a decent listen with only one real stand out track, Hey You. Lonely Boys Paradise is a nice groove as well that could make an artist essentials kind of playlist. The rest is just background chill, its just ok.
Debut album, psychedelic chill. Standout tracks Marinade, Uptown Folks, and Coyote, my favorite.
