This is not my first rodeo when it comes to an Action Bronson album front to back, this is actually the 6th album I've heard front to back from him. The only thing that really changes with every Bronson album is the production, Bronson does find ways to keep his style fresh however, and that's what makes this album so good.
Boundaries flew under the radar for a while but Burying Brightness seemed to have boosted their name value a bit and it's completely fair. Burying Brightness follows the trend of early Metalcore revival but with Boundaries signature CT Hardcore sound still looming.
Boundaries shows again why they're a name to take seriously. The classic style of Metalcore/Deathcore will never die, especially when bands sound like this. Raw emotion, brutally confessional lyrics, and heavy, intense instrumentation make "Death Is Little More" Boundaries greatest album yet.
It's unfortunate that Balmora is breaking up because this EP showed how well they work together as a group, bringing together flavors from Hardcore and Metalcore.
EDIT: Ok, I guess they aren't breaking up.
An improvement on "The Process of Grief" but still very raw in terms of what they would become. Both EPs are definitely worth a listen if you enjoyed "My Gnawing Pains Will Never Rest" but I give the edge to this EP as they show a bit more of their personality on "Our Saints Drown in Ash" instead of just being a "revivalcore" band.
This is basically Poison The Well worship but still kicks ass.
Edit: My original take is still true, but after listening to their first LP a few times over now, "The Process of Grief" was a great showing of what this band would become.
Greatest soundtrack ever.
Crazy return single from this band. Infectious riffs, same great vocals, instant favorite.
This is my second rating on this album and nothing has changed, it's the greatest hip hop album of all time. Nothing matches Biggie's flow or delivery, his beat selection was top tier, and there were definitely a few debatable lines but overall it's a masterpiece.
Best: "Juicy"
Worst: "Friend of Mine"
There's definitely a unique feel to this album, however it has certainly been dated but the lyrical content remains relatable.
Best: "Bring The Noise"
Worst: "Don't Believe The Hype"
I can see why this is rated so high. London Calling was the only song I heard for a long time, I'm glad I listened to this album, The Clash are fantastic.
Best: "Spanish Bombs"
Worst: "Four Horsemen"
For as long as they took for this album, it's not bad. Definitely a showcase for their future, but really I'm shocked they didn't put "What We Don't Know" on this album, it's a 9/10 song in my opinion.
I gave Hybrid Theory an 100 because of the impact it had at the time of it's release and how it sounds overall. Although Meteora is my favorite LP album, and it had a good impact on the genre too, I give it 100 because of sheer favoritism, because I'm not a critic. Other than that, I mean seriously listen to the album, nu-metal doesn't get better than LP's first two LPs. They took the Hybrid Theory sound and commercialized it more on this album, but songs like the opener, ... read more
There's no doubt that Beyoncé is one of the best pop artists ever, this album is not my favorite but it's definitely a great effort. I feel there's a bit too much filler, and no reason for 3 songs being 6 minutes and others being above or close to 5, there's not enough going on to keep me interested.
Best: "Partition"
Worst: "No Angel"
The lowest point of this album is probably "Tranquilized" but even then I would give that song about a 7/10. Not one song misses on this album and Ekotren brings their brand of velocity on every song. John Sheldon is also a very talented singer and screamer, not many people in local bands were as good as this guy, I don't see how they flew off the radar so bad.
Best: "Point of View"
Worst: "Tranquilized"
Even this album's low point songs are better than some artist's best efforts, Wu-Tang was really nothing to fuck with. Each member brings something unique to every track, especially ODB.
Best: "C.R.E.A.M."
Worst: "Can It Be All So Simple"
