Pleasantries - You Filthy Plagiarist

How has the person that Andy is trying to convince never even heard the song Hypnotize before

Lil Darkie - USD

Lil Darkie realized people liked his other album this year and was to timid to go above and beyond

Pleasantries - The Greatest Song Ever Made

So this is what my dad meant when he said he had to go to a baseball game

[unknown artist] - Minecraft Mix [EP]
9

I'm not one to fill out my 0-10 ratings on AOTY, since I like to reserve it for projects that are just so fucking bizarre to me that I'm utterly bewildered by the fact they exist in any capacity. A good chunk of my low ratings are incredibly niche electronic *music* that I find on a whim when web surfing, and discovering this felt like I picked up a tradition that I had long forgotten.

Looking in to the history of this project just leads to a lot of theories rather than concrete ... read more

Tyler, The Creator - DON'T TAP THE GLASS
80

It is seriously impressive that Tyler, Thine Creator recorded and promoted this album during tour.

DON'T TAP THE GLASS is a wacky fucking adventure through and through. Tyler's previous albums had laser focused on his vulnerability, so the production was much more soulful to match. In this new release Tyler keeps with the themes of humility, but decides to put a much more playful feel on the production. Every track sounds like it was made on dollar store equipment, and all of his ... read more

STOMACH BOOK - GOODNIGHT HYPNOPOMP
67

My ratings and reviews for STOMACH BOOK are so fucking ass. I still need to update them.

I've grown a fondness towards Vivi's earlier work recently and I just really appreciate how she spills her guts out on her debut, and the production of both her first album and her Sophomore release really kicks a lot of ass. Even if the album cover eats, I don't like how subdued this project is compared to the other two. I don't necessarily think there's anything bad with the ... read more

Tally Hall - Marvin's Marvelous Mechanical Museum
79

I'm so damn bi-polar when it comes to this album I just want to hate it so bad, but it lowkey fucks so hard 🤤

John Michel - Egotrip
92

Y'all aren't egotripping. Y'all are cooler than you think.

Edit: MinionAlex4 sorry I didn't credit you when I listened to this originally. This is a really sick recommendation man, Thanks!

Best tracks: Don't Save Me, ONEWAY, world's end, PREACHER!

R. Kelly - Trapped in the Closet (Chapters 1-12)
100

This first third of the series is just amazing. All of the chapters just one up each-other in line delivery and cliffhangers. The rest of the series is fine, but it just goes off the rails by the end. I never expected Rufus to open the door just for us to see another man LOL.

Best tracks: all of them, fuck it its all one track

Kanye West - BULLY [June Sampler]
0

Watching the progression of Kanye from Donda 2 to BULLY is the equivalent to seeing your dad return from the hospital year after year, but every time he returns he has a new amputation in his body so he can achieve his life long dream of being a cyborg. Ye isn't Kanye, Ye is your dad's ultimate dream. A robotic soulless husk of a man that only exists to ramble pointless bullshit and spout shocking statements to provoke reaction.

Also, your dad is antisemitic...sorry

Jane Remover - Revengeseekerz
89

I love how terminally online Jane Remover's music is. When I heard Dark night castle, it felt like I was the food critic from Ratatouille when he flashbacks to his childhood after eating the signature dish. I just started reminiscing watching Markiplier playing Sonic.EXE.

Best tracks: Psychoboost, Dancing with your eyes closed, Dreamflasher, JRJRJR

McKinley Dixon - Magic, Alive!
96

MAGIC IS REAL DUDE šŸ˜šŸ˜šŸ˜šŸ˜šŸ˜šŸ˜šŸ˜

Miley Cyrus - Something Beautiful
83

This the same popstar that wrote Wrecking Ball

Mei Semones - Animaru
86

I love the little guy on the album cover šŸ˜

Best tracks: Animaru, Sasayaku Sakebu

Car Seat Headrest - The Scholars
80

Honestly not a superfan of Car Seat Headrest, but I do really enjoy their stuff. It seems the ride or die fans generally think this one is alright and I'm affirmative in siding with them this time. When compared to much more acclaimed earlier works such as How to Leave Town, The Scholars production style is much more watered down and has lost a bit of character in favor of a cleaner sound. Part of the magic I felt listening to this band in the beginning was its crunchy lo-fi sound, so when ... read more
