Such a bombastic whimsical album for a whimsical fella like me
Best track: Concrete & Cola

It's really disappointing how much this album separated itself from Forest Spirit's previous album. The chaotic lo-fi production from their self titled is entirely lost for a sound that's much more gentrified to appeal to a larger indie rock scene. In a vacuum this album is really good, like if it was released under a different name I think it would be so much better, but I just prefer the debut by a long shot.
Now that doesn't go without saying that this album is still ... read more
This album has some serious potential to it. The first half of this album contains some incredible production and amazing songs in it. All of them are produced super well and have a clean refined edge to them despite the heavy inclusion of chaotic synthesizers and psychedelic instrumentation. The vibe of the album is just unmatched to Panchiko's previous work and songs like Honeycomb really show how well they get the contrast down. It starts off really heavy with deep bass guitars and ... read more
Track 1 felt like a duo of college roommates where one was trying to get the other on Death Grips.
Best track: The Ocean is Fake
white people when you tell them an hour of experimental noise rock is at the function:
This entire album is just a whole lot of fun.
Viagra Boys doesn't take anything seriously and it's lyricism and instrumentation is a cluster fuck of a good time. Every other line is another jab at pre-established song writing conventions and the sounds of an insane man rambling about History, Folklore, and the idea of winding down to light up a quarry of Crystal Meth. I've been sleeping on this for way too damn long and I need more Viagra, boys.

This album can be summarized in a little story. Imagine you are boarding an airplane and you brought everything you needed to enjoy a nice calm flight. You brought your phone, your earbuds you got from Temu, a new credit card that you had to get from your bank after you gave your information to Temu, and all the other stuff that makes your airplane ride as cozy as can be. You're about to take off and before the Flight Attendant even finishes all the safety talk, you put in your earbuds and ... read more

The aesthetic alone carries this album a lot for me. There are singular tracks I like a lot, but as a whole album there's really not a whole lot to experience here. It really feels like SPELLLING made the song Portrait of My Heart and went... heh they should make an album on that...
Best tracks: Mount Analogue, Portrait of My Heart
I've listened to this album a multitude of times, and no matter how many times I play the same tracks over and over again I can not bring myself to make a detailed review on it in any way. However, the amount of hours I poured into this album made me realize that no matter the amount of the praise I give to the instrumentation, the vocal performance, the flow of the album, or the aesthetic that ties it all together. The undying truth is that I love this album with all of my heart and every ... read more
I do like the vibe of this music, but I get really tired of it by the time I get halfway through it.
Best track: Heavenly Flow
