I listened to this album in a listening party with the mice themselves and it was such a bizarre experience.
The entire time it felt like a group of friends were showing me the music they made over the summer. Half of the people in the listening party were literally in the band, and they dropped so much funny shit behind the scenes. On half of the tracks, they talked about cutting specific parts and the band members would just banter like childhood friends. One of my favorite details is that ... read more
Awesome with extra the sauce on that plate of the bodaciousness, garnished with a light seasoning of peak and himalayan swag.
Best meals: Look Down On Us, Born to Die, Break the Tension
Best mashup album of all time.
Every song has absolutely goated samples, and is a huge influence on my music as a whole. Even with the joke tracks, there isn't a single miss for me and I always come back to this album with affinity towards something different. This was the first "dariacore" album I ever listened to, and I was right to put it off at first because this shit is NOT entry level lmao. As I warmed up to the genre as a whole through leroy, I came back and got ... read more
Actually incredible In every possible way. WIIPOP truly stands out with how bright the atmosphere is even with all of the chaos of the breakbeat drums and FYP samples. Seriously one of the funniest mashup albums you can find out there. I especially love how the first and last track tie everything together, and how you leave the project with a sense of hope. I'm currently working on a drum n bass mashup album at the moment and this shit is inspiring.

This album reeks
It's a cute little EP and I really like how loose it is with its composition. Such a nice little cozy couple of songs. That ladybug is dopey as fuck and I love him for that <3

This album is one of those old 70's records that I love solely for the appreciation of the bass guitar. Every song has a really cool and funky bass guitar riff that is in instant ear-worm. Especially in the song Psycho Killer, which might have the best bass riff of any song from this decade. The riff in that song is deceptively simple, but its just so effective on so many levels. Having this steady beat while David Byrne's vocal performance slowly descends into madness is a genius ... read more
Very cool Steely Dan. Aja is incredibly funky and fresh sounding for something produced back in the 70's. Every song on this record oozed with passion and the slimy guitar sounds paired with beautiful chord progressions give such an amazing jazz feel throughout. This is one of those albums that I truly think everyone can get behind, even if you're not a big fan of jazz, and is objectively great all around.
Best tracks: Aja, Peg
Margaret Thatcher may be dead, but my discomfort ain't. Thank you RINGEX PLASTER for another horrible experience.
When it comes to these albums there tends to be a very strong theme throughout. This one however, can be pretty confusing. This album uses audio book records, old blooper videos, and Monstercat songs to show vague connection of old internet childhood. Theme or not this album is very strange and it manages to keep with the low quality sounds that RINGEX PLASTER is pretty much ... read more
Hell yeah dude, I fucking love this Fleshwater album. This is one of those shoegaze metal projects to write home about. Even when all of the tracks seamlessly flow into each other, it is easy to pick out tracks to listen to without needing the context of the one before it.
I also really like their Bjork cover. Missed opportunity to not include that siren that jumpscares you every 5 seconds
Best tracks: Foreign, The Razor's Apple, Enjoy
This album sounds like my neurons are snapping apart
I have nothing else to say about this
I went to Waffle House with one of my co-workers after work, and he showed me his CD collection and let me borrow October Rust. When I put the CD in my car I thought my radio finally gave out after its 25 years of existence. I shed thousands of tears as I pressed my head against the horn of my steering wheel. But then, in sudden shock, I hear laughing and my soul was saved, thank you Peter.
