While I think this album has some interesting ideas, I think the band needed to spend more time with the flow of the tracks since some songs feel longer than they should be. Recommend checking out if you are desperate for some mathcore
This was fine. My biggest complaint is probably the vocals. Also the instrumentals could've been more interesting. I did vibe with it a little bit though
This song is way too basic. The instrumentals and vocals aren't interesting or engaging
Yeah I put this album in the green. Despite this album being classified as a generic metalcore album, a lot of the songs don’t sound the same. Yes, most of them have the screaming vocals and singing vocals in the chorus structure as well as breakdowns. However, they're applied differently throughout most of the tracks on the album. The only major consistent criticism that I have are some of the lyrics, specifically the ones that me and my drum teacher made fun of in high school. Some ... read more
Despite me not being the biggest fan of shoegaze, I believe Nothing & Full of Hell on this album deliver an atmospheric experience that is both calming and violent. "Rose Tinted World" is such a noisy opener to start the album despite it having soft rock guitar parts in the bridge that give the track life. "Like Stars In The Firmament" is such beautifully intimate track that has these string and guitar parts that play off each other really well. My only complaint is that ... read more
I blame this song for every lazy, overproduced, and annoying pop song of the last seven years. Sounds like it was made in an hour
One of their more interesting tracks. The edm section was a strong way to end the song
While I think this album is a solid and somewhat different hardcore punk album, I feel like the riff work on here is a little too simple for my tastes. Plus the energy throughout the album is pretty much the same which is probably why I’ve listened to this album at least 15 times and I can’t remember how a single song goes. Still recommend checking it out if you like hardcore punk
Can’t really say anything new in this review that hasn’t already been said, except whoever put Billie Eilish and GAYLE on the same album should be fired
Honestly, this was like pop punk Machine Gun Kelly but with metal breakdowns. Very cringe lyrics with basic pop punk and metalcore instrumentals
Another great deathcore track that doesn’t fall into the trap of sounding tacky
This band definitely has potential to be great. Despite some songs blending together, it’s a fine nu metalcore debut
This is the first time where Alpha Wolf to me have sounded like stock metalcore. The main riff was too repetitive, the drums were very simple especially compared to their other tracks that have very technical drum parts, and the turntable scratching didn’t add to the song at all other than noise. Overall this was a big meh from Alpha Wolf
It’s too bad that all of the songs on here sound exactly the same since I like the first couple songs and wanted a switch up that never came
This makes me wanna take a shower. Nothing wrong with those who like horny songs though
Didn’t really get much out of this but if you like 2000s post hardcore you’ll like this.
A more melodic riff focused track compared to what they normally do, however, they pull it off pretty well. My only criticism is that it’s a little more repetitive than most of their tracks.
Kaonashi somehow found a way to have a riff be repeated over a three minute song and have it be entertaining and gripping. Vocals are basically a mental breakdown and I love it
