You add djent guitars to this and it would basically be a sleep token song. The vocals are wayyy too over the top for the lyrics of the song
Both of these sound very generic to me, especially with the “ha ha ha haaaa” backing vocals in the background on Anomaly. Drift kinda sounded like a wannabe Rage Against The Machine song off of Evil Empire with the compressed vocals. Easy the weakest tracks that I’ve heard by this band
I don’t understand the hype over this band. This just sounds like every other thall/djent related project this year.
Overall this album was a fine but enjoyable pop album. I think if there were more changes with the instrumentals on this project I would’ve liked it more cause the vocals were fun.

They copied and pasted the same song at least seven times on this album. Only recommend you listen to this album if you like pop focused metalcore that you don’t have to think too hard about
I don’t think a 2000s metalcore revival album this year has ever hit hard while sounding beautiful as much as this album. Dying Wish on this album have nearly perfected both aggressive instrumentals and vocals, beautiful melodic instrumentals and vocals, and as well as transitioning between the two. Each track on here also has a different song structure featuring both clean and unclean choruses. To me, this is a must-listen if you like metalcore
I found this to be a very run of the mill pop EP. If you’re looking for a female pop artist to listen to then you might like this more than me.

I was a little worried I was gonna hate this, but to my surprise this ended up being a pretty meh EP. Spiritbox do an ok job blending alternative metal, metalcore, and djent on here. Sonically, first half of the album is serviceable, the second half though I don't think works that well. My biggest criticism is that the songs don’t really do anything new for modern metal and someone who doesn’t enjoy it wouldn’t like this EP that much.
I wanted to like this album since the metalcore community goes crazy over this band. Unfortunately, this album didn’t really succeed at gaining my interest.
Despite that, I do have some positives to say about the album and band. I have listened to other Silent Planet projects like Iridescent and Everything Was Sound, which I think are both solid albums for modern melodic metalcore. With this new album, Silent Planet focus on experimenting with EDM almost similar in a way to Northlane ... read more
Even though the new Hunger Games movie is likely gonna suck, at least we got a great Olivia Rodrigo song out of it. Her vocals are gorgeous on this track
This track has the best combination of early metalcore and emo pop that I have heard this year. Hopefully we get an LP from them soon
Even though I enjoy this track, it’s unintentionally hilarious and very basic
This track for me was kinda just big and loud with not that much substance or interesting elements despite it being over six minutes long. However if you like extremely heavy djent, you’ll enjoy this
I wanted to like this album cause I think Poppy has potential to be one of my favorite artists, especially when you look at her other material like “I Disagree” or the “EAT” EP. Sadly, I didn’t find much enjoyment with this album.
For what I did enjoy, I think Poppy’s vocals are good despite this album not showcasing them the best. I personally love her vocals on “Knockoff” and how floaty yet demeaning they seem to be. I also like some of the ... read more
Ok, I will never assume an album is going to be not enjoyable based on nothing ever again. To be honest, this is probably one of the few times where a metal band softened their sound and put enough effort to make it work. Even though it doesn’t really do much for modern pop, I think if you want some catchy pop that has some bite to it, you can really dig this album.
This album has some of the best pop punk and indie rock elements that I haven’t heard in a LONG time. When combined together, it creates incredibly fun and catchy songs
