Fuck it, 100/100

It absolutely amazes me how well this album still holds up even after almost 20 years. It's aged as gracefully as an expensive bottle of the purest chardonnay, and its crossover appeal is not hard to be ignored either. Seriously, pretty much everyone in my family loves at least two or three songs from this album, even including my parents, mind you, and they tend to scoff at this kind of music.
This was one of the first ever albums I ever listened to in full (even though I ... read more

Since I Left You was the first album that I bought with my own money, and DAMN was it worth it!
This album never fails to blow my mind, and, just like Relationship of Command, refuses to age even slightly. I mean, it could've been released an hour ago and it would still sound as fresh, exciting and innovative as it did in 2000. In fact, this marks the third perfect score I have given to an album from 2000. Heh.
The fact that the album is made up entirely of samples, aided with some nice vinyl ... read more

Wow. Just wow.
This is one of the most unnerving, dark and cerebral pieces of music I've ever heard in my life.
This shit's gonna haunt me until the end of time

UPDATE: This album really hits hard nowadays, considering the ongoing conflict in the Ukraine, as well as the threat of invasion of my home country by China.

An electro-rock concept album about nuclear annihilation was certainly not what every LP fan in 2010 was expecting after the band played it relatively safe on 2007s Minutes to Midnight. While the album still continues to polarise to this day, I'll say that it's without a doubt an underrated gem that is well worth your time.

A very pleasant and relaxing listen, if a little one-note

As far as nu-metal goes, Linkin Park are a real diamond in the rough. The pure unbridled energy, angst and anger displayed on this album is truly something to be admired.
The instrumentation here has aged surprisingly well, given the whole scene that Linkin Park belonged to has been generally seen as dated and corny by most. It knows exactly when to hold itself back, and when to punch you in the face.
Call Mike Shinoda's raps corny all you want, but the directness of his ... read more
