EDIT: Obsolete was the sleeper hit. Best song on the album.
It’s really good but it’s also pretty boring
I like the vibe and sound he was going for but it almost felt like he was too scared to fully commit so we have a bunch of half naked dance songs
Who would’ve thought end of summer would be one of the best songs here?
I also really like afterthought, oblivion, Dracula and maybe the rest will grow on me.
A lot of really good songs on here, but when I think about Lover I think about the bloat and I think about the boring tracks with jack antanoff’s production feeling stale for the first time forever for me.
I actually think the two hits here are pretty good, and I think almost every song here other than the man and me are at least good, but there’s just not a lot of standout moments.
It just feels like an average Taylor swift album. The moments I enjoy hear the most are the songs ... read more
This feels like her pop hits album, I really love it but it’s missing the depth a lot of her other work has so it’s not a super moving album or one I return to as a whole often, but there’s a lot of songs I will just remember and put on from to time.
It’s a very uplifting album
I just want to inject the keys and guitars on this album to my VEINS
The instrumental drop on taxes is the best musical moment of the year, au pays du cocaine reminds me of that moment, but turned into the best song I’ve heard all year. It’s so catchy, the lyrics hit me so hard I cried the first time I heard it and the soundscape that pops up on several songs with the soft piano and guitars (that sounds just like the cover looks) is the thing about this album I’ll never ... read more
It started really strong but very quickly went from fun and charming to kind of annoying and predictable. I just kept feeling like I’ve heard this a million times snd this wasn’t doing anything at all really that wowed me other than the first 2 songs and a few moments scattered throughout
I don’t think this is bad pop music, it’s just not really for me
There’s a warmth from this album that keeps me coming back. It gives me like a 90’s nostalgic feeling with some twang. There’s moments that reminds me a lot of female singers like clairo (elderberry wine, for instance) and a lot of the tracks that kinda has a “the Sundays” feel with some heavier more chaotic rock instrumentation.
I know that was a cluster of thoughts, but that’s a good way to explain it because that’s also kind of what this album is to ... read more
Legitimately a stain on modern mainstream hip hops. With songs like WAP being some of the only female led rap songs to get major crossover appeal to more wide audiences, a lot of people think this is just what hip hop is now.
This album does everything wrong. Too many songs, singles from half a decade ago, boring flows and stereotypical lyrics.
The 27 is bc some of these songs are tolerable/fine. Some of the features are too. She also has a funny personality but man this thing stinks.
I’m not being even the slightest bit ironic when I say this is one of the greatest songs ever made in any genre
I’m obsessed with her voice and personality that just bleeds through this well written masterpiece of a song. The nostalgia is real with this one, I used to listen to this when I was a teenager just finding the internet back in the early 2010’s.
I’m honestly not sure how I feel yet so this is a placeholder.
The first impression was very confusing for me, but I did enjoy it. I was moved to tears by cottonwood, but Clancy is my favorite album in years and right no it feels like it’s kind of towering over it.
City wall is one of their best songs, and I loved raw fear and robot voices and honestly just about every song and every moment here was great.
I’m not exactly sure what’s holding me back from fully ... read more
The first song is def the best they’ve ever made
This is a pretty solid ep. Not as much cringe as usual
I’m very disappointed with this personally! This is one of my favorite bands, and outside of the first song, the title track and the outro nothing really stood out to me here.
I’ve only listened twice, so maybe it will change but I honestly felt bored and annoyed with some of the songs and sonic choices on here. It felt bland in its repetitiveness on songs like happy with you and no fear and I just feel like all of their previous work (and Lenker’s solo work) just towers ... read more
This sounds like moving into your first apartment with your fiancé in the middle of winter in some place in Canada.
It sounds like all of the hopes, dreams, fears, and special moments from young adult-hood. I’m not sure I’ve heard anything else in my life that captures the magic of that phase in life better than this.
This album is cozy. It sounds like hot chocolate by the fireplace while your partner reads their favorite novel sitting by the window as it snows. It ... read more
This album turned me into a Sabrina carpenter fan, the singles are some of the best pop songs to come out in the 2020’s. Now that a little bit of time has passed, I can honestly say that I really really love bed chem, espresso, taste, and please please please… but the album cuts (outside of don’t smile) are really noticeably weaker.
I am not a huge fan of the country-pop songs like slim Pickens but when her humor comes through on songs like sharpest tool it almost makes up ... read more
You guys are tripping this album is very clearly better than her last to me ??? It doesn’t have the high highs, but like as a full album it feels much more sonically conceptual and easier on the ears. It has less of the type of songs I don’t like (like slim Pickens) and more songs that are bed chem coded, and I think her humor really shines through in the best way on here.
The instrumental’s are really pleasing on the ears and it just feels like a fun little simple pop album ... read more
It’s the yang to some rap songs ying
It’s the lighter side of the coin, the sister album.
And while I might prefer some rap songs, I seriously think this is top 3 Earl. The lighter soundscapes, the feeling of sports and team culture that kept coming up throughout its runtime, the subject matter discussing fatherhood and mental peace …. It’s probably my favorite content on any of his albums and there’s still so much for me to piece together on here with more ... read more
LP10 is still just as good as their earlier albums, which is an insane feat.
Listening to this album beginning to end is a journey, I think it cannot be understated how well this thing flows. Especially with the nu metal inspired track being tagged along towards the end after the slowest moment in the album.
You can just tell these guys are masters of this genre and they know exactly how to put a metal album together to keep you intrigued.
There’s high highs on this album but not ... read more
I can tell he put a lot of effort into this, and it really shows
There are great songs on here. A few boring ones too.
Some great features. A few boring ones too
And you can kinda just say that about every quality of the album. It falls off in the middle and the end just improves a little, but it’s still good over all so I’m giving it a 7
This album starts off extremely strong, I thought after getting passed the clipse song that this could really top forever story. I think that is my favorite three track run on any JID album, and I’ve been known to struggle with “getting” JID’s music in the past, but when I love his music I really love it.
Sometimes it just feels mediocre to me, but there’s very little of that on forever story so u was expecting to get an all killer no filler album here
But ... read more
