My album of the year as of now. Two of my favorite artists of all time came together and blew my expectations away. All of the complaints I have heard about this album are my exact favorite features. The dirty mixing, Danny Brown's juvenile and humorous lyrics and the beat overpowering Danny's voice at times create a final product that is messy, loud, glitch and unlike anything I have ever heard.
I have had a long time to sit with this album and have been listening every day. I can now recite ... read more
This is such a horny, scary, loud, yet hauntingly beautiful experience front to back. It feels like a horror movie about loving someone, it portrays how seriously frightening it can be to be in love and lust after another human. The lyrics get really explicit at times, the metaphors describing sex and desire paint mental images in my head that make this album a really dirty and unique experience for an album.
It sounds like blood and cum. It sounds like a gay romance written through the guise ... read more
Genuinely one of the worst albums I’ve ever listened to. The last two songs were fine and I don’t mind believe, but the rest of this ranges from terrible to the worst thing I’ve ever heard.
Listening to this actually soured my mood tonight. I was hoping to find some redeeming qualities and was listening with an open mind after binging old Eminem all day.
This is the hardest I’ve ever seen an artist fall. I hate how it’s skewed the way I see Eminem. I lost a lot ... read more
I have already overplayed it but fuck man this album GOES
I am a huge gec fan and this blew me away. I love the more rock centered direction they went here and my five year old and I have listened to this whole album at least 50 times together. It is the album that has gotten my little guy interested in music and this album will always have a place in my heart because of that.
The production is killer as always, dylan brady is a genius.
Also wanted to point out how good the lyrics are this ... read more
This was a really really really great debut album. These are some of the best lyrics I have heard in a very long time, Kara is a true poet with some of her words hitting me in the gut so hard I had tears.
The way she spoke about death really touched me on this album and the instrumentation (while not very varied) fit her words and deep voice perfectly. I was pleasantly surprised and I am excited to see where she goes next!
Drake's best album. Nothing too deep or interesting to say about it, this thing is just pure energy and catchy hooks the whole way through. I remember hearing 6 God when I was 15 on soundcloud and just loving it.
You can tell how much effort went into this thing from songs like Star67, this is him at his peak and I really wish we could get another album this solid from the confident and "machine gun rapping" Drake
This thing is good. I Feel like I should like it more than I do, but it is really solid and catchy. It just doesn't really do anything to move me emotionally and outside of some fun moments I don't really walk away feeling inspired or wanting more. Haley Williams is a great songwriter on this album and I really do enjoy the vibe on this one. Their best album in awhile
if you think this album is anything less than a10 you should go back and relisten. Probably the best hip-hop album ever made, I loved and appreciated it it the day it was released when I was 15, and I feel even more passionate and sure of it's greatness now.
If I could give this an 11 I would
My favorite album of all time. Every sound, every lyric, every feature and every theme on this album is perfect to me. This is the first album I ever bought on the day of it's release when I was 13 and I remember jumping around my room with an adrenaline rush the first time I heard On Sight. Blood on the Leaves is emotionally devastating and the horns section (along with the auto-tuned yell-singing) towards the back of the track give me chills just thinking about it.
Guilt Trip, I'm in It, ... read more
This is Lana's magnum opus. On first listen, I thought "ugh, not more piano ballads."
But fuck, if theses are not some of the best piano ballads I have EVER heard. Candy necklace, Let the Light In, Margaret, taco truckxVB and the title track have been on repeat since this album clicked with me.
These songs give me a deep and profound feeling of comfort and nostalgia and they are just sonically beautiful songs. This is lana's most personal record to date and it leaves me feeling ... read more
