My favorite X album. The sound of this album is really really cool, the lofi feeling and the sampling of shiloh dynasty really completes this thing. There are devastating songs here like Jocelyn Flores and Revenge, then there are extremely catchy songs such as Everybody Dies in Their Nightmares and Fuck Love with a really strong vibe.
The acoustic songs on here have really strong moments and you can tell a lot of emotion went into everything here.
The intro might be the worst thing I have ... read more
The great songs are really great (posthumous forgiveness, is it true, one more year) but the boring songs are really boring (lost in yesterday, on track, might be time)
Probably my least favorite tame impala record but I still really like it.
Man this is a solid record. Great songs all over it.
It flows really well and there are highlights like catching smoke and Shanghai but a lot of it just feels like filler.
Good filler, but still filler nonetheless
My most listened to album ever. They permanently changed my taste in music, I have listened to money machine, ringtone, i wud never stop you, 745, hand crushed and stupid horse on repeat since I was 19. This album is my pick me up, it never fails to make me feel better on a hard day. I saw this album live and it made me realize how punk it is, I feel like it literally created a whole new genre and perfected it better than anyone else has.
I fell in love with them the first time I saw them open ... read more
One of those albums you listen to and have a hard time wrapping your head around how a human made something so perfect. I love how it increasingly feels more electronic and chaotic as the album progresses until we hit the peak with her screaming on Pluto followed by the electronic breakdown. Sounds straight off a death grips album.
Then it ends with possibly the most lovely and peaceful song in her discography.
On most days I prefer this over Vespertine, not sure which I like more though. This ... read more
Basically a collection of all of my favorite songs from the late 2000's. The synths, the autotune, the lyrics, the feelings I ge of joy and nostalgia from almost every song here cannot be put into words. When you look at the tracklist it almost reads as a greatest hits list. This album is one of the rare scenarios where the music here feels very of its time but it holds up so well. Flashing Lights, Stronger, Can't Tell Me Nothing, Good Life and I wonder all on the same album creates a ... read more
I do not get the hate for this at all. I actually quite like it, it is not offensively bad at all. Feels low effort but the beats are so nice it makes up for it.
I was actually really enjoying it, was shocked to see all of the hate it was getting when it was released.
Jimmy Cooks, Sticky, A Keeper, Calling my Name and Currents are some of my favorite Drake songs since Views and I genuinely think these are all amazing songs. His singing is not great but I have warmed up to it, so even that god ... read more
EDIT - 50 -> 65. Many of these songs grew on me, while others I still have trouble remembering. The writing seems to vary from strong to cringeworthy to me, and crazy how big the gap is from great music to forgettable music on here.
I wish I liked this more. I have listened four times and it just did not do much of anything for me, the singles were cool and I thought Satanist was great. It is a great album to sleep to and I mean that in a good way. I am disappointed with it, especially ... read more
The best album of the 2020's so far. So much emotion, so many beautiful moments of instrumentation.
I will always have tears streaming down my cheeks when listening to this thing front to back. Gives me the same feeling I get when looking at a beautiful sunset, or watching bright branches of lightening in the sky during a storm.
This record gives me, and many others, a feeling of awe that words cannot even touch. The Place Where He Inserted the Blade, Basketball Shoes and Goodwill Hunting ... read more
Eminem's best album. This is one of the best pieces of music ever recorded, period.
The silly jokes are turned down from sslp, it has more of a dark feel and even the humor feels more serious.
The hits are really fucking good, the deep cuts are really fucking good.
..... and it has stan. That song by itself took this from a 90 to a 95. There is a reason this thing is so beloved. I grew up on this album, and though yes some of the topics and humor has not aged well I cannot deny the quality ... read more
The last superb eminem album. My fourth favorite in his discography and the one I go back to the most. I love the character he is playing here, it feels twisted and evil at times and the accent separates this persona with his usual self and I think it really works. Every single song here works to build this story and amplify this twisted character that is likely a side of em's psyche that is just being exaggerated to help him cope with his emotions during his transition to sobriety

This is my favorite pop album of the year so far. Caroline really outdid herself with this thing, from the first track it’s obvious she’s building a sonically beautiful world and inviting us in for the next hour. This world is colorful and full of heart, her voice is so so impressive.
Fly to you and crude drawing of an angel are my two favorite songs here, it feels like a perfect album until the last 4 where I kind of lose that feeling of perfection and it kind of drags on until ... read more
This is an amazing start for this new chapter of Yachty. I was obsessed with this thing when it dropped, his voice is such ear candy.
Drive me Crazy, Pretty and Say Something are some of the best songs of the year. A lot of this album has sadly grown off of me, I would have given it an 80 when it came out but I got bored with it quick. A lot of the ideas (and even some of the song structures and melodies) have been done before.
If he takes this same amount of creativity and truly makes his own ... read more
