There are moments and songs on here that I really love and really connect with me, but they are sandwiched between songs that feel like they just meander with melodies that don’t really do much for me.
Some examples of this are two horses, Nancy, and Mary.
But I really love bestie, I especially love the outro and think it’s the best accessible song they’ve made in a long time with its more normal song structure. That song feels like it’s on another level than most of ... read more
I’m a huge fan of this band, I love their last album so much. This feels a little more earnest in a way, it has a similar soundscape but most of it is much softer.
The choruses on this album are very very hooky and I think the songwriting has improved from the last album.
It’s a lot less punchy, but the highs on here feel much more epic and structured than the highs on dogsbody.
Cinderella is one of my favorite songs of theirs now. Diva, doves and acid rain are some serious ... read more
My favorite artist of all time has released nothing but slop since Donda. V1 is the closest thing he’s released to a good album, both sequel albums have been some of my least favorite hip hop albums from a popular rapper that I’ve ever heard in my life.
Kanye, in my eyes, now has TWO Eminem - revivals
I prefer the highs on V2 to the highs on this without a doubt. But the lows on V2 are much much worse, this thing is just bland the whole way through.
I liked the switch up in style here with the faster rapping but too many of these songs are just forgettable
This really blew my expectations. Every song sounded like peak MIT. Very comforting and trance inducing album with beautiful instrumentals
Great album but the vocals are beyond grating for me.
Maybe I’ll try again and this will change
If I have nothing nice to say I should say nothing at all
And I really have nothing nice to say about this
Very well made but outside of the title track and rein me in I couldn’t get myself interested. It just felt bland, not my type of music I guess
Does anyone outside of the r/drizzy cult actually think this is a good album?
Most of this album is a 3-4 out of 10 with a few songs I really liked bringing it up slightly
Im a Drake fan so my bias may come in here but I really liked the first 2 songs, Nokia, give me hug and the outro.
The rest of this is just beyond meh. What has happened to drake’s creative choices? Who thought this was a good idea after the beef?
Why would he release this? Why did he squeeze solo rap songs all ... read more
Not crazy about this one solely because I can’t get into her voice and the songwriting might be great but it didn’t really do much to grab me.
I liked this a lot more than I thought I would. I’m not crazy about his voice, and some of these songs were kind of boring
But the production was not it short of amazing. There was a handful of songs I genuinely loved and keep coming back to (gnarly being my favorite)
I like this in the same way that I do semetary, I enjoy it over all and love specific songs but it’s hard for me to love and stay interested in a whole album
Daniel Johnston’s chord organ?? Are you kidding me??
This album feels floaty, blue, light, whimsical and fun while still being deeply introspective and philosophical. Mac miller now has the two best posthumous albums I’ve ever heard in his discography.
I wasn’t sure what to expect, but I love this album. I have a handful of favorites I just cannot stop listening to (do you have a destination?, pony rides, Deborah, stoned, funny papers and Rick’s piano)
The only song ... read more
