LCD Soundsystem - Sound of Silver
93

This was very fun. Sound of Silver is a 2007 Dance-Punk & Indietronica album by LCD soundsystem. The album has a very party friendly and fn sound, basically the stereotypical 2000's party or feel good music. The singing, while in the background is very good, especially the multiple voices that are combined at times. The instrumentals were very good, the drums groovy and dancy, the electronic elements, like the effects and synths were very on spot and helped the album a lot. The ... read more

Kate Bush - Hounds of Love
95

This was oddly futuristic. Hounds of love is a 1985 art pop record by british singer Kate Bush which contains 12 songs in it. This album is a landmark for future synthpop and art pop albums to come in the following years and decades, with it's futuristic and heavily synth in it's first half, and then later diving into a more baroque and folk sound, with the use of fiddles and other folk elements within it. It's like the album progesses from synthpop to a more folk and baroque ... read more

Slint - Spiderland
89

This was strange. Spiderland by Slint is a 1991 post rock album that is 6 tracks long. The vocals were very good, although they weren't used very often. The subtle talking was also very good, but strange and weird at times. The instrumental was very good but also very noisy or quiet at times, also the guitars were very solid but also heavily distorted. The production was also good with this album, with all of its little details hidden within the main post rock picture. In conclusion, very ... read more

This was very loud and noisy. Nevermind is a 1991 grunge/alt-rock album by Nirvana which has 12 tracks. This album has a very distorted and chaotic sound, while also having it's down and quiet moments throughout, but mostly having that distinctive grunge sound in the entire album. The singing by Kurt Cobain is really good and kinda sloppy but also chaotic and screamy. The instrumentals where really good, the guitar playing was solid, and teh drumming was amazing in almost all the tracks. ... read more

The Avalanches - Since I Left You

This was reaaally good. Since I left ypu by The Avalanches is a 2000 sampledelia/instrumental hip-hop album, which features 18 songs and is exactly 1 hour long. The album mostly consists of samples and a lot of instrumental tracks. AS MY 50TH REVIEW ON AOTY, I DECIDED TO DO A MUST-LISTEN, WHEN THE PAWN... BY FIONA APPLE.
Anyways, When the Pawn... by Fiona Apple, is a 1999 singer-songwriter, piano rock album, which is moslty based on topics like heartbreak, and failed relationships, the album has a very melancholic, but also, kinda positive and happy at times, as if she's happy that she's out of a toxic/bad relationship. Lana Del Rey - Norman Fucking Rockwell!
96

This was depressing. Norman Fucking Rockwell! (or NFR!), is a 2019 singer-songwriter, pop album by Lana del Rey, this album has a very omninous and dark setting to it, with a lot of topics and songs talking about love, struggling relationships, heartbreak, and unrequited love, which definitely makes it a unique listen, but also a very deppresing one, since both the lyrics and instrumental were very sad and unalive, which makes this perfect for someone that's heartbroken or struggling. The ... read more

Milton Nascimento - Clube da Esquina
90

I need to listen to more foreign albums after this one. Clube da esquina, by Milton Nascimento & Lô Borges, is a 1972 MPB album. This album definitely was a very peaceful and chilling album, one that you can play on the beach, or at sunrise drinking coffee. The vocals were amazing by both Milton and Lô, also the acoustic playing felt very intimate and personal with the album, which trends to talk a lot about love related topics and love stories. The production and instrumentals ... read more

Danny Brown - Atrocity Exhibition
93

This was a crazy experience. Atrocity Exhibition by Danny Brown came out very recently in 2016, and it's safe to say that it's one of the records of the 2010's decade. The experimental and sometimes harsh sound of it, accompanied with danny's rapping makes for a really great combination. Also great production and storytelling, narrating the downward spiral of Danny Brown throughout the album, as he struggles with his mental disorders and drug addiction. In conclusion, ... read more

Wow, this was a life changing experience. Animals by Pink Floyd is a 1977 Progressive Rock album, which features 5

I'm simply speechless. This album is just simply perfect.

Arctic Monkeys - Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not

I got inspired to listen to this album by Is this it by the Strokes. For some context, i’ve already listened to a couple of AM songs, but this is my album by them. Anyways, this indie/garage rock record by british band Arctic Monkeys us a really good and solid album in it’s genre or type, with energetic and fast paced drumming, great powerful electric riffs, and semi-distorted young vocals. Fleetwood Mac - Rumours

This Pop/soft rock album by Fleetwood Mac was an average listening experience l, although I understand the high regards and reviews that a lot of individuals may have for this album, but I just don’t see it, mainly due to it’s repetitiveness and lack of essence and feel, and also a lot of the tracks on it feeling the same, and none of them captivating your attention, except for Dreams, but other that that, I didn’t really like it that much, but overall, it’s alright, not ... read more

Joy Division - Unknown Pleasures
95

I’m sorry to everyone that enjoys this record, but personally I didn’t enjoy it, it felted like it was trying to be dark, experimental and post-punky, which it did not really pull off, it was alright, but i didn’t like it, it feels a bit forced and unenjoyabke. But it wasn’t terrible or bad. It had good production and instrumentals, but not so good singing and lyrics, and also experimentation. Overall it was alright. Edit: Changed my mind, this is actually really good

Jeff Buckley - Grace
96

This singer-songwriter/folk album by Jeff Buckley had an amazing production, with dime great lyrics and vocals from Jeff, and some good instrumentals, but sometimes it dies down a bit, if it was more stable(quieter or louder) it would have been perfect. Pretty good regardless

Sade - Diamond Life

This Sophisty-Pop/Soul/Jazz record by Sade was really jazzy, glossy and great, it was a dymanic album, with a lot of fun and good songs. Great productions, instrumentals and vocals by Sade. No complains on my behalf that’s for sure. 9/10.

The Microphones - The Glow Pt. 2
93

This indie/psychedelic folk album by the microphones is a really good album, reminds me a lot of ITAOTS and other folk stuff, but sometimes it can become a bit repetitive for the sake of artisticness and being good, but overall good. I need to listen to more stuff like this
