Absolutely hypnotizing track with amazing production. Best off the album for sureeeee
I heard this album was going to be sad but I still wasn’t prepared for how sad it’d really be. This is like… punching a hole in your wall type sad. I genuinely don’t blame Isaac Wood for leaving the band after this because how do you continue after you’ve practically put your whole heart and soul into a record?
Brent releases a new album that although having clear jumps in production quality, shows that I prefer the minimalist production from Wasteland and before. Don’t get me wrong though, this is still good Brent. He just has such a remarkable voice that there really isn’t a reason that he showed by overpowered by the instrumentals. I think white noise was wasted potential as he could’ve easily recorded over that. On the bright side, the beat on wrong faces is amazing.

I knew the album was good when I realized I was on the last track and didn’t want the album to end. This album really successfully combines all these genres into this literal psychedelic mountain that I just didn’t want to stop hiking on. I should REALLY listen to more of Gorillaz.
Favorite(s): The Moon Cave, The Happy Dictator, The Empty Dream Machine, Casablanca, The Sad God
Not a bad song, cool beat switch. The instrumental is cool and Ghais mostly does it justice. My problem with these songs post-Goyard is that why do the mixes sound always incredibly muddy. Like it feels like it’s almost on purpose. How? Why? It sounds like there’s reverb on the master.
Album #8 of listening to the entire Swans discography:
Although this is inferior to 'White Light from the Mouth of Infinity,' it's still an enjoyable listen with maybe too many interludes (except (---) pt. 3 ily)
Favorites: Love of Life, (---) pt. 3, The Other Side of the World, No Cure for the Lonely
This is genuinely the perfect next step they could’ve taken after ‘By The Time I Get To Phoenix.’ Everything Parker and Ritchie touch turns into something special and this album shows that although you can never truly move on from grief, you can give the ghost a home.
Favorites: Dead Weight, Grapefruit, In My Town, Zig Zag, Double Trio 2, And I Dance, GGG
Why the fuck was the outro so beautiful??? 😭😭

When she cries, her mama put on your songs to calm her down"
Shit if I put J Cole on for my daughter she'd fall asleep too
Album #7 of listening to the entire Swans discography:
Swans is really turning into something special. They found the perfect middle ground of Neofolk and Gothic Rock and made White Light from the Mouth of Infinity, an album with gorgeous lush production while still having their signature sound intact. This album could have been more consistent in quality but I still enjoyed it. I listened to the original version but I know the 2015 remaster has Blind as well as some other changes. I’ll ... read more
I'm just going to set aside Pusha T's allegations in this review... probably. Actually, I'm just gonna set aside Pusha T completely from this review.
This album has some good highs but feels kinda awkward at times. With half Pharrell Williams production and half Kanye West production, this album feels like divorced parents fighting over their kid's custody. What I mean by that is, it feels like both of them had different visions for the album and they just tried to still ... read more
Album #6 of listening to the entire Swans discography:
Absolutely not the direction I expected Swans to go after Children of God, but I’m not surprised. The Burning World is probably not the best title for their less evil album. Anyways, I’m feeling kinda mixed on this. The album started off good but slowly fell off in quality. I really enjoy Gira singing more on this but I just wish the bands efforts matched it. I also realized that unfortunately there is such a thing as too much ... read more
F# A# Infinity is one of the bleakest albums I’ve ever listened to and truly succeeds in world building even when there’s not much lyrics. How frightening is an album about the apocalypse once you realize you’re living in it.
Whenever people want to get into JPEGMAFIA, I always tell them to start with Veteran. It's absolutely his least accessible and most intense project, but I think it works like cliff diving as your first swimming lesson, as it's the only way to see if you'll sink or swim.

One of the biggest fumbles in Hip-Hop history. How do you go from Yandhi to this?
Favorites: Selah, Follow God, On God

They somehow made a 45 minute album feel too long. It's not a bad album but it feels Kanye tried to continue the 'royal' sound of My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy in this one and failed, maybe sounding too boastful.
Favorites: No Church In The Wild, Can't Say This One Lol, Otis, That's My Bitch
Least Favorites: New Day, Who Gon Stop Me, Made In America (how do you make a song with a Frank Ocean feature mid?)
Album #5 of listening to the entire Swans discography:
Although I did enjoy (most) of the Swans albums before this, this is a hell of a step up. Still evil sounding but this time super polished, and songs like New Mind feel like a perfected version of the No Wave songs from earlier in their discography. This album feels like accidentally joining a cult and not realizing you fucked up until it’s way too late.

They called their most robotic sounding album 'Human After All' which is ironic because it took until 'Random Access Memories' to prove they're truly human after all.
Favorites: Human After All (the justice remix is way better btw though), Robot Rock, Emotion
