Whilst some parts of this album haven't aged the best, especially with the production lingering on certain songs and not being the strongest, Rakim definitely improved his rapping from here on out but there is no doubt that his cadence and internal rhyming throughout this LP influenced an entire generation of rappers who would go on to perfect it, on top of this the album has no bad songs and the best songs such as the title track and I ain't no joke are some of the genre's best.
Pink Floyd's greatest statement, and so relistenable; this is such a massive upgrade on dark side of moon. Everything about this album is flawless from top to bottom, not a second is wasted.
Beatles by the numbers to be honest, whilst a solid record with no real standout good or bad songs it just feels so average especially compared to their much more ambitious later work. And even compared to their earlier records it feels less charming and while not having the lows that Beatles for Sale has it also lacks the sort of high quality new songs that record has such as eight days a week.
