This was the first ever album I listened to, and to be honest, it's not a terrible album, it has its highs and lows, but overall it's not too bad. I just got off my Yeezus review so I won't be doing a long review on this, but I will say the album aged on me less than the first time I heard it in like 2019 when I was 9 years old.
Mainstream death grips
Ye's 'Yeezus' is a perfect album. Now, many people may not agree with this take, but I believe many of its songs are perfection. On Sight, I Am a God, New Slaves, Hold My Liquor, Blood on the Leaves, Guilt Trip, Bound 2. All perfection. It might sound like I'm glazing, but I really believe this album is perfect. It was truly ahead of its time, like something from the future, which people couldn't accept at first, but slowly learnt how powerful ... read more
John Coltrane's jazz album 'A Love Supreme' is far different to anything I've ever listened to. It made me realise there's so much more to music whose existence I barely acknowledged. It was like discovering new parts of the world just to see that there is so many wonders out there. This singular jazz album gave me a new perspective on reality. This album has changed my life.
If this isn't a perfect album, what is?
Tyler, The Creator's 'IGOR' has helped me through a lot. From when I was low on music in my playlist to when I broke up with some I dated for nearly a year, it is a perfect album which holds so many values and connections to me.
First off, 'IGOR'S THEME' is a phenomenal start, The ways that the instruments blend to create near perfection. It's one of the best intros I've heard. While not much there lyrically, ... read more
Fucking phenomenal song. Why couldn't most of Midwest Princess be like the vibe of this song?
This is the song that turned me into a certified TS hater
I don't think I'll ever understand whitegirl pop.
Chappell Roan's "The Rise And Fall Of A Midwest Princess" is an interesting album to say the least. It's a mixed bag of candy. Some of it's good, but some of it is REALLY good. Like, the five track run that was 10-14 were fucking amazing. However, other than that, I thought most of the songs somewhat pushed past average.
Let's start off with the lyrical themes. Holy shit, there's a lot of horny shit ... read more
All killer, no filler.
Pusha T's 'DAYTONA' is top 3 2018 rap without a question. As a part of Kanye West's producer run of 5 powerful albums, this one stands out as not only one of Ye's best executively produced albums, but as one of the best albums of that year. Coming in at only 21 minutes, it shows that Push is one to keep an eye out for in the industry.
I want to talk about 'Santeria'. It is beautifully produced, the wordplay is top-tier and pays homage ... read more
"you can't sleep? yeah i know that's that me espresso" HOLY SHIT TOP 2 MOST INTROSPECTIVE LINE IN HISTORY
yeah i don't like this song. the beat gets annoying at times, and the chorus and the second verse are so fucking atrocious
"i'm working late, cause i'm a singer" wtf is this meant to mean
overall this is why bluetooth on top so i dont have to listen to the bullshit on radio
Friend put me on this song, it's not too bad. Summer Walker does a great verse while Bakar does a nice job. Instrumental isn't too bad in general but it adds to the vibe and works on this song.
i'm not a bad person for this being one of my favourite songs right?
