Paolo Nutini - Caustic Love
84

At its best this is far and away the best showcase of Nutini's talent. Some moments struggle to bring quite as much due to a slight contrast in instrumentals compared to his vocals, leaving them a bit isolated and overworked, but in other moments they complement eachother wonderfully to create incredible tracks! A great listen!

Arlo Parks - 2SIDED
NR

I'm just glad to get some more music from her :)

Master Peace - Fuck It Up
NR

Not huge on the Master Peace elements, but it gets bonus points for waking Declan McKenna up

Paolo Nutini - Sunny Side Up
84

True to it's name - Sunny Side Up is absolutely brimming with positive energy and good vibes. Featuring some of Nutini's most catchy, sing along tunes this is a joy to listen to, although the back end does feel a bit underwhelming compared to the earlier tracks in the album and don't quite fit the same vibe the rest of the album presents. Overall though, a load of fun bottled up in an album!

Phantogram - Eyelid Movies
87

A seriously enjoyable listen packed to the brim with atmosphere and tension. There are very very few weak moments to be found here!

Frankie Goes to Hollywood - Welcome to the Pleasuredome
86

Star studded with some incredible tracks showcasing the best for Frankie goes to Hollywood, just a bit bloated with some filler tracks that add very little to the overall experience

Jeff Buckley - Grace
84

Whilst I may not like it as much as others here, this is still a wonderful album full of raw emotion and haunting vocals - it just doesn't quite win me over as much as other people here

Stevie Wonder - Songs in the Key of Life
94

Simply wonderful πŸ™Œ

David Gray - White Ladder
83

A solid listen that falls off towards the latter half

Peter Cat Recording Co. - Bismillah
74

I wanted to love this after seeing the band recommended on tiktok, and whilst the first half of the album had me feeling pretty good about this album, but I just found it really fell off towards the end. I have a hatred for the last song that I can't even really describe, and think it absolutely ruins what was generally a decent jazz pop album. Up through Memory Box, this is an easy 85+, but the tracks following that bring it back down to a 74 for me

Jane Remover - β™‘
88

One seriously strong EP

South Arcade - PLAY!
73

It's decent, but I was hoping to see more progress

91

Not only is this an incredibly creative and well constructed album, it's incredibly well balanced in its style and its emotions. This is actually a really enjoyable listen from beginning to end, whilst remaining true to it's jazz-rock/punk roots. Brilliant!

The Hellp - Riviera
79

A really quite enjoyable release!

De La Soul - Cabin In The Sky
84

A solid, heartfelt release from De La Soul

Oneohtrix Point Never - Tranquilizer
84

Absolutely beautiful soundscapes yet again

Puma Blue - Desire
NR

Puma Blue's best release in a while!

ROSALÍA - LUX
91

Wonderfully diverse and creative, LUX is a brilliant body of work

LAUSSE THE CAT - The Mocking Stars
82

I enjoyed this! The casual laid back feels isn't 100% for me, but I appreciate the creativity on show here!
