Patricia Taxxon - Trickle Down

This album better be happy I'm currently listening to "Here Come the Warm Jets", because if I wasn't I would be INCREDIBLY pissed. And I still kind of am. This album has 1 track that I would consider good, that track being Sweat. And even that track can't escape from the endless audio splicing that I'm game and Inhumane suffered so significantly from. But it still showed significant progress from those 2 albums. The rest of this, however, did not.

This album consists of 7 tracks, two ... read more

This is genuinely one of the most absolutely unlistenable projects I've ever had the displeasure of listening to. I was genuinely in excruciating pain while listening to this. To give you an idea of the misery I was in for NEARLY AN HOUR, I'll go through the "album" track-by-track.

Track 1: Intro

There isn't much to say about this, it's 2016 Patricia saying that you shouldn't listen to this album under any circumstances (And trust me, you shouldn't) accompanied by some lovely awful ... read more

This is barely music. I'm sorry, but, whatever this "album's" trying to do. It's not accomplishing. Or maybe it is, if the goal was to just make somehow more earrapey YouTube Poops in the form of audio exclusively. It's not enjoyable. The only somewhat enjoyable parts are the intermisisons because they aren't just screeching and spliced conversations.

A small step down from Autumn but they're honestly on the same level of quality.

Best of the SZNZ EP's. No bad songs for the most part.

I used to hate this album for whatever reason, but now I literally cannot think of anything agregious that would result in me disliking it so much.

Favorite Track: All This Love

Least Favorite Track: The Garden of Eden

Don't remember any of this album besides the chorus of "All the Good Ones" tbh.

Weezer - OK Human

This is definitely the most refreshing album in Weezer's discography when listening in release order. This is because we get less of the "Hey look Mom I'm mainstream" and more so the "I'm gonna go home and play my piano", none of these tracks are even remotely bad. Even if some of it may be considered repetitive, this is still an "essential" in my book.

Favorite Track: Here Comes the Rain

Least Favorite Track: Everything Happens for a Reason

I really don't think that any song's on here are that un-listenable besides Byzantine and California Snow. But maybe I've just been infected by Weezer's half-assed attempts at impressing the youth with whatever you'd call Pacific Daydream.

Favorite Track: Can't Knock the Hustle

Least Favorite Track: California Snow

Make it stop for the love of fucking god. Happy Together's okay tho.

Whaddya know, Power Pop again, except this time it's not good. This is the worst Weezer LP, not by a lot sadly, but it still is. This is terribly mediocre when compared to Raditude's tracks. Sure, Raditudes agonizing at parts, but that at least has highlights, this has Rivers Cuomo in skinny jeans and a mullet playing a game of Remember Weezer?

Favorite Track: QB Blitz

Least Favorite Track: Beach Boys

Funny virgin band revamps their shit into Power Pop and it sounds good. Also Jacked Up's a masterpiece.

Favorite Track: Jacked Up

Least Favorite Track: King of the World

Weezer - Everything Will Be Alright in the End

This is a really great album, it's catchy as hell, the song writings good, and everything just works. It definitely throws something at you that you don't expect, whether that be a good or a bad thing. And some of the tracks are instant classics (for me) and there's not really a bad track (for me).

Favorite Track: Return to Ithaka

Least Favorite Track: Da Vinci

This album definitely has more understandable hate than Red, but c'mon. Why does no one seem to like having fun. This record is really just innocent. It's catchy, and there's nothing too groundbreaking for you to have to think too ridonkulously deeply about. Just listen to it, it's cool.

Favorite Track: Unspoken

Least Favorite Track: Where's My Sex

Weezer - Raditude

Very few redeeming qualities on this album at all. I guess "Put Me Back Together" is alright and "If You're Wondering If I Want You To) I Want You To" is pretty catchy. But damn, most of this album is some of the worst Pop Rock I've ever heard PERIOD.

Favorite Track: Put Me Back Together

Least Favorite Track: In the Mall

Surprise, surprise. This is one that I especially will never understand why some people dislike it. It's by far their most ambitious work (maybe along with OK Human). And it's the defintion of "Beautiful Mess". It's so incredibly all over the place and just does whatever the hell it wants. And I love it for that. One track you got "Troublemaker", the whitest song I've ever heard, and the next you have "The Greatest Man That Ever Lived (Variations on a Shaker Hymn) which ... read more

I'm definitely biased in a lot of ways but I really don't get the negative reception with this album. Sure it's formulaic but so is green which was just 2 albums ago. Not every one's gonna be the most innovative and thought provoking piece of music ever produced.

Favorite Track: Haunt You Every Day

Least Favorite Track: We Are All on Drugs

I've "formally" decided that I'm done numbering my views and all that shit. And I'll only be reviewing things that I WANT to. This will make it less of a slog and I'll have much more rated albums because of it.

Also this album's very good :pinched_fingers: .

Favorite Track: Death and Destruction

Least Favorite Track: Slob

Review #10 - Weezer (Green Album):

This album has about as much meat to it as fuckin tofu. It's pretty bland by itself but considering it's the same formula Weezer still sticks to, to this day. It's pretty damn important. Also, some of the songs are just straight bangers, there's not too much to complain about in this album, which is why it's got as high of a rating as it does, but overall, decent, not too notable, but some good tracks even if the style is repetitive.
