nothing compares should've made the final cut, maybe placed after the title track idk
missed you would be infinitely better if it didn't have the baby boo line, throws me off every single time when i listen to it
final lullaby: beautiful somber ambiguous minimalistic song that is powerful in its simplicity
save your tears remix (yeah its not included in this tracklist, idc): one of the best modern remixes. especially the back and forths they have when singing the chorus. the live ... read more
redux review of sao paolo after HUT
80 -> 88 (only was an 80 because i didnt know how it would fit into hut)
really cool to see how this song got incorporated into the album. probably the highest energy production-wise that's on that album. also a nice tribute to sao paolo overall. the additional runtime helped the flow of the album too, with the killer transitions. music video is still shit though and doesn't fit in with the aesthetic of hut. this single's getting to at least ... read more
anyways this mercurial world project is pretty amazing. i feel like compared to imaginial disk, this album hinges more on mica's vocal capabilities a little more on imaginial disk, as the production here is a little downgrade from imaginial disk (still amazingly produced though, production's easily still a 8.8+, it's just that imaginial disk is that good)
no misses. all bops and straight vibes. yeah i have an apush test tomorrow that's why this review's a little short
the production, the chorus, the lyrics, the message. everything is perfect.
redux review after one week.
abel has graced us with his slow-burning, cinematic swan song of a masterpiece. he digs into the years of experience that has shaped him to become the global superstar that he now is today. on first listen, i often tend to stray away from any lyrical aspects of the album and go purely off of vibes (yeah, i should stop doing that). anyways, that's not the point. just like dawn fm, hurry up tomorrow is front-loaded with bangers and after opening hearts, starts ... read more
coldplay discog dive #3
im vibing with it... sounds a little more commercially streamlined though. many songs i loved throughout, but the weaker ones felt like commercial hits while the amazing ones are still amazing.
also, which each song being 5m+ long, it drags on a bit.
will finish later (on the hardest part rn)
i can see why most of these tracks were removed. the new added title track is fucking beautiful though.
hm
yeah i have nothing else to say dont hit me with the "you did not enter enough text" aoty website shut up
coldplay discog dive #2
i love piano rock music. it's superior to every other type of rock music (unless it's avant garde, like in rainbows). right now, i want to compare coldplay to radiohead if they weren't experimental and was instead soft rock. The entire album meshes together extremely well and every song was amazing. parachutes sounds like coldplay was trying to find a sound that worked for them, and on this record, they sounded so ambitious to prove themselves. i ... read more
either this or doechii's album is realistically going to win the grammy's tonight.
emotion side b has lower highs but higher lows but still another amazing pop record :)
