very scattershot, all over the place, and disjointed. danny makes it work somehow, despite the tracklist varying in quality throughout the project. honestly a really fun direction he's taking, and shows a lot of promise too.
p.s: 'the end' could've been top 3-5 danny if the song length was cut in half

why it sound like folk pop. great singles but veers away musically from the other singles they've released (which i love more). black eyed susan climb will def grow on me a ton though

last two songs are genuinely life changing, on par with some of fishman's best stuff
parannoul has been quite busy with his other artistic endeavors in 2025. love to see everything he's released and all the experimentation that's been going on for him.
this project is a genre blend between ambient and post-rock, and it pans out really nicely for the most part. unfortuantely still only on bandcamp, but still very excited for what he has in store next.

the writing is really rough around the edges but the production sounds great with his voice
might be on the same calibre as second sleep/star eyes

"as an abstract hip hop album, there really is no narrative. it's a snapshot of many different ideas into an amalgation of an album. there is no definitive or unifying factor that ties this album together.
as for the lyricism, i'm not sure if you paid attention to the whole thing. sure, some songs touch upon common ground for many topics adjacent to many other hip hop records. i'll give you that. but saying that the wordplay and lyricism is average? come on. if you search up any video highlighting all his rhyme schemes on any song, you would see how insane they really are. plus there are so many witty one-liners
