When the rawness of an album does more talking than the refineness, it speaks measures about the passion that was put into it.
and with that said, i do not ever want to listen to this album again. not because it's bad, but because i know i'll relisten to this album as a ways to cope if i do lose someone dear to my heart.

after listening to this album months ago and not liking the genre in itself, i decided to relisten to this album again and dive into the reasons as to why metalcore is so loved.
and after listening to this album again, i can see why
this album's the literal equivalent of chugging an espresso with 30 pumps
i swear to god if he took the highs from 2093 and the highs from this album and combined them into one album he would have dropped the greatest rage album of all time
other then that, i'm mostly impressed by the overall consistancy of this album, as well as the highs that were on this album
the lows weren't even that bad, but seriously, 50 songs dropped in a year is diabolical, kanye level workaholic type shit

this album is amazing, and i am by no means a 21 savage fan in any way, shape, or form.
this song made me fall in love with sampha. also a top 5 kanye rapping performance. also a top 5 produced kanye song. this song feels so bittersweet and also self-accepting. although i was never a huge fan of anything off TLOP, this song reaffirms to me that kanye never misses on his outros (JIK, V1, and V2 don't count). I wish we can get more of this kanye. my favorite ye song of all time, and it's not even close for me.
haven't seen the sun in a while but i heard the sky is still blue. such a devastating song.
perhaps my nostalgia for this album fosterered a bias that i have towards this album, but i don't care.

as for the lyricism, i'm not sure if you paid attention to the whole thing. sure, some songs touch upon common ground for many topics adjacent to many other hip hop records. i'll give you that. but saying that the wordplay and lyricism is average? come on. if you search up any video highlighting all his rhyme schemes on any song, you would see how insane they really are. plus there are so many witty one-liners
