an astonishing, strange, and at times challenging combination of electronic-dance-glitch with what sounds almost classical works surprisingly well to create a beautifully unique album. will easily go on to be one of my favorite first listens of the year.
btw, "Desafío" is one of the most beautiful songs ever made.

exceptionally fun album that keeps one absolutely thrilled for its brief yet exhilarating duration.
Genuinely one of the most divine pieces of the year, and it's only the second week of Feburary
a lot of great moments here, big pummeling noise and aggression, but occasionally there is a hiccup, and what begins as an exciting, terrifying track meanders into a stale sound wall. maybe i should've listened to this at night. my biggest complaint is that i want more sound. i FIEND for it. hopefully later down the line, Swans will give me what I want more than anything. worth checking out nonetheless, and i'm excited to begin listening to Swans' entire discog!

pretty underwhelming but decent background pop punk. first track is a huge banger as well!
Sometimes it feels as if Joji is pissing in the wind, and it's all flying in our direction, coating us in his warm wetness. All we're left to do is accept it and carry on with life. In the end, that's all you've got.
Joji seems to always be on the cusp of excellence just before creating something too bloated or too lean; his greatest weakness is balance. 'Nectar', arguably Joji's finest work, still has issues with Joji not trimming the fat and leading to a ... read more
first ethio-jazz record. overall, very enjoyable. standout instrument was the guitar. every time it made its voice heard it was so expressive that everything else was dwarfed. really worthwhile record if you like jazz-funk (a lot funkier than expected)!!!
so funny listening to this because 13-year-old me would've made fun of Drain Gang. now I'm a full-time Drainer
Ghais Guevara doesn't waste a single one of these 22 minutes messing around; the end result is a spectacular, in-your-face tour de force project that is constantly entertaining, and more importantly, meaningful. There is also a Squidward sample on a track. I've always appreciated the capabilities present in these mini-albums. because they really show that less CAN be more. PLEASE CHECK IT OUT!

easily one of the best albums from last year. gosh I am a sucker for this style of post-rock
splattered with rock, noise, and hip-hop, By Storm rises to the test of living up to Injury Reserve's last album, 'By the Time I Get to Phoenix'.
OOOOOOOOOOOH AND WE BACKKKKKKKKKKKKKK!!!!!
This is a record I never thought would happen. it seemed like a far-off dream. i thought By Storm would occasionally release a single that excites and intrigues me, but leaves an unsatisfying yet understandable legacy. the very existence of 'My Ghosts Go Ghosts' is a statement to ... read more
