Honestly, a huge improvement from their previous release,A New Kind of Horror, which stands as one of their weakest albums, Endarkenment is a return to great form. Aggressive, heavy, dense and misanthropic, everything is here which i love about Anaal Nathrakh this time they go grander and in a more epic style and although it isn't as consistent as some of there better record and a bit more tame but still a strong record.

Easily, Matmos' most demanding listen yet, The Consuming Flame is a nearly 3 hour experimental sound collage album which showcases some of Matmos amazing sampling skills and ability to turn these samples into rhythmic, avant-garde, progressive IDM tracks and although the album length is too much and som tracks just aren't as memorable it is an impressive record in his career and huge respect must be given to such an adventurous record.

Another strong and great release by Kaatayra and showcases how amazing their songwriting craftsmanship is with 3 tracks all exceeding the 10 minute mark one of with is nearly half an hour and yet their are still able to have great elements of progression, engaging soundscape which is strangely warm and even tropical which makes a nice change of sound for atmospheric black metal and a lovely amount of energy and triumphant feelings for an impressive listen.

The main singles are great and catchy and do get stuck in my head quite a bit but overall as a project, Lil Nas X's debut shows what he is as an artist that is a hit machine, after the singles which are huge hits, the deeper cuts are mainly forgettable with a few expectations and the album has a whole doesn't offer much, the lyrical content is an improvement from 7 and the production is great but it doesn't stick out enough from the rest of the Trap scene.

Big Brave return in 2021 with Vital, their 5th studio album, continuing their dark drone / post-metal sound for some solid results and although there are better artists and album which are putting out more interesting styles of drone metal Big Brave do manage to grip you in with their slow and haunting sound especially within the first 2 tracks but after that the songs can be quite drawn out and i wish more interesting and memorable moments happened in the tracks but it is still a good ... read more
Epica continue their impressive and consistent streak with Epica which sees them continue their established symphonic metal sound for orchestral grand and epic listen filled with such energy whilst offering some complexity with the sound makes for a more interesting listen than other symphonic metal bands and the elements of progressive metal and melodic death metal are handled great for an uplifting and larger than life listen.

Another strong addition to his already impressive discography, Garbology sees Aesop Rock join up with Blockhead for some strong lyrical content, flow and messages with some impressive sampling by Blockhead for a playful abstract soundscape which allows Aesop Rock to poses many philosocial points of view for one of his more complex reasons but yet not ever song here is standout and that is simply its weakest.

The Line Is A Curve is the 4th studio album by Kae Tempest which continues her conscious hip hop sound with a more spoken word focus vocal delivery to make a more impactful and political charge lyrics stand out more and it usually always works for some great lyrics and with great production on the side this album definitely stands out for its introspective, political position and allowing herself to be more vulnerable with her work makes for a more emotional listen. However, some songs sadly ... read more
Honestly, a step in the right direction for Jack White and his solo career. Truth be told his last release, Boarding House Reach, is easily the weakest in his solo career, although has handful of good track it felt many rushed and unconnected but those problems are sorted here on Fear Of The Dawn. Keeping that Blues experimental rock establish on his previous release and giving a more artistic and directed approach this time gives the album more flow and connection and allows the ideas to burst ... read more
Father John Misty returns after 4 years with Chloe and the next 20th Century, which sees a stylistic change of sound into a more traditional pop sound of the 50's reminiscent of the likes like Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald etc. and it is a nice change of pace although i find myself enjoying this record the least out of the 5 record he has put off. It has great highlights and the singles are great but more often than not there nothing groundbreaking and out of the 5 record it is the one i can ... read more
Beach House's self titled debut, starts the band off with a strong core sound of Neo-Psychedelia dreamy pop with its soft and lush soundscape and the great writing is still present even on their debut and although i still enjoy this record and I still believe it is good, it is easily the most flawed and weakest beach house album in my opinion. Mainly due to the weaker production which for me doesn't add much and takes more from the record and the band didn't necessary have the consistency which ... read more
Beach House's sophomore album, Devotion, is there first true step into greatness and is easily their most overlooked album but yet one of their most important one for establishing they're dreamy pop sound and the ethereal mellow atmosphere which in the future they would be completely known for and with some underrated songs and a highly consistent track list, Devotion is yet another strong record in their impressive catalog.

Although, it is not as consistent nor as that many highlights, the duo stills offers amazing ethereal atmosphere and great songwriting for such a sentimental piece of work and although it isn't the most memorable body of work they put out I will stand by and says this deserves to be mentioned a lot more.

Although Anderson.Paak debut is easily his weakest project it shows a lot of promise which know we know he worked on and improve to become of the most interesting and well known Neo-Soul artists in the past 10 years. The main issue with this record is simply that Andeson hadn't nicely found his style and has his lean a lot on his influences it is clear that the focus on the upcoming trap scene simply didn't fully suit Anderson.Paak and although he manages to make an enjoyable album with some ... read more
Although not as fantastic as Antisocialities, Alvvays' self titled debut is still a great jangle pop record with a sweet mixture of bittersweet melancholic feelings and the warming feeling of summer for a soft spoken, lush experience of optimism, love and the downfalls that occur with it. With catchy memorable lyrics and a great atmosphere and soundscape, Alvvays proved themselves to be a great pop group from the get go.

An absolutely great, dark, heavy and cold black metal release by Spectral Wound and has put they in the spotlight within the black metal scene. A Diabolic Thirst has everything to love with black metal form the aggressive vocals and riffs pounding away in your ears, to the satanic lyrics sung so raw and passionate and with great technical display and fantastic vocals, this record is well round and executed modern day black metal.
