Steel Bearing Hand - Slay in Hell
75

Slay in Hell is the sophomore album by the Death Thrash metal band, Steel Bearing Hand, and has put they on the scene in the underground with this album due to how consistent good this record is. It may not be the best release in this genre but it has everything to love about it. The aggression, the heaviness and ominous tone for such a energetic and powerful listen. Technically it is great, the vocals are great and it is well put together and although this style has been done before many ... read more

Jane Remover - Frailty
78

dltzk's official debut showcases some of their biggest strengths mainly how they can create a glitchy ethereal dense soundscape which is both lush, noisy and atmospheric and is generally impressive. However, there are still many improves the band can make, although the lyrics are great and introspective and offer a lot they don't stand out as much and the track list is simply too long with some songs not adding too much to the overall experience and not that many standout tracks but nonetheless ... read more

Stormkeep - Tales of Othertime
77

Stormkeep is a band which have been making some big waves within the melodic black metal community since their 2020 EP, Galdrum, and they finally drop their debut LP with Tales of Othertime, which is a cold fantasy filled record which sounds like a war zone with its energy bursting out and the triumphant sounds of victory. it is a well thought out record and although not necessary my favorite release in the genre it is definitely a strong release and deserves the recognition

KICK IIIII is the last installment of Arca's KICK marathon and she ends it all with a powerful minimalist ambient record filled with such an abstract but soothing soundscape which is both calming in its nature but one which has so much to dive into for 41 minutes of minimalism bliss.

Sewerslvt - we had good times together, don't forget that
83

Sewerslvt is an artist which one could argue is interesting in of themselves or their persona they represent. But, truth be told i am one who separates art from the artist simply due to the fact that we are all human and thus we are all can be horrible people and if we are honest with ourselves we are somebodies villain in their story and i don't want to get into a debate about morals, I simply what to enjoy as much music as I can, and thus i shall review this final body of work by Sewerslvt ... read more

Dream Unending - Tide Turns Eternal
88

An absolutely beautiful album and such a beautiful mixture of death and doom metal which is kept together with elements of post-rock and psychedelic rock for an entrancing and surreal listen which still blows me away when i revisted it earlier this week. This album simply oozes creativity, passion, technical prowess and most importantly atmosphere.

desert sand feels warm at night - 新世界の弟子たち [New World Disciples]
81

This is simply put, a well thought out and well put together ambient vaprowave album, which slowly brings you in with its ethereal atmosphere and the more you get sucked in by the surrounding sound the more you are at inner peace and calmness. This album is set to relax you and it does it frankly too well and its a statement on the utilization of vaporwave can make for an impressive experience. Although not for everyone, I thoroughly enjoyed it.

73

Leprous continues their more progressive art rock sound they have established in recent years with thier 2021 release, Aphelion, and it is another consistent and very good record in their discography. Although, i can't see this being my favorite by the band it is a welcome addition, filled with a more melodic and introspective approach to there sound and style offers so much for the band and works with the more slow darkness that creeps on you.It sometimes faisl to capitalized on those feelings ... read more

Black Dresses - Forever In Your Heart

Another great project by Black Dresses which sees them enter into a more metal and rock territory with a noisy and aggressive listen which almost sounds mechanical and with that it comes off so cold and harsh and to be honest I'm here for it.

King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard - Murder of the Universe
77

If there is one word to describe Murder of the Universe it is simply ambitious. For a band which is already known for their ambition, Murder of the Universe is an album which may be their most ambitous but more importantly does it work. Yes, it is a psychedelic filled apocalyptic world and KGATLW guides you through it beautifully and although this will never be my favorite album as it quite an overwhelming listen and thus it can be a bit off putting and not ever track is super engaging it is an ... read more

Rocket From The Crypt's most iconic body of work namely due to On A Rope which is easily a classic, and such a powerful punk rock track, Sadly the album loses steam throughout its track list by the second half, although decent it doesn't compare to the intensity and power of the first half mainly the first 4 tracks but all together it is a solid showing by the band.

Iron Butterfly - In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida
83

Nothing can state how important not only this album but Iron Butterfly was in general in the movement of a more harder rock sound and with Iron Butterfly's sophomore album, In A Gadda Da Vida, sees them take the Acid Rock genre which was popularized by this point and move to more heavy territory with its thicker more fuzzy guitars in one of the first Heavy Psych albums and containing their best song.

An undeniable classic by David Gray containing some of the best pop rock has to offer with the late 90's with a strong focus on its mellow atmosphere which works so well with the more introspective lyrics which suits David Gray's vocals so well to create a powerful listen which is both memorable and meaningful.

Bruce Springsteen - The Rising
80

Honestly, a great album and one of Bruce Springsteen more overlooked album. Containing strong lyrical themes centering around the results of 9/11 makes for such an impactful album but Bruce approaches in both a biitersweet optimistic point of view making this album feel so real and gain some form of emotional connection to it and will a consistent track list and knowing when to take it emotional and when to make it upbeat. The Rising is a well round and well put together record.

Some impressive singles by 10cc and the rest of the album is consistently very good with elements of progressive pop making for some interesting ideas and sounds to burst out which gives the album a lot of flavour and is another great record by the band athough the album never really gets to the same level as the leading 2 songs.

Faith No More - We Care a Lot
49

The Start of an important band, Faith No More, and what a start it is. It is common opinion that We Care A Lot is the weakest album by Faith No More and it not necessary because it is a poor, constructed unlistenable album, it more due to the fact that the record is boring and doesn't really do much for it stand out in the crow of the 80's alternative rock scene, adding elements of funk and post-punk simply other bands did it better and it leaves this album to be mainly forgettable with a few ... read more

Faith No More - Introduce Yourself
60

Faith No More, continue to drop their more post-punk influence and starts to find their own sound with more stronger elements of metal and funk for Introduce Yourself, which is imo not actually a bad record and even a good record with some great highlights and can rival some other of their records such as Album of the Year however the main downfall of this record is how imbalance the track list in terms of quality and it makes for both a disjointed listen and one which I rarely return to in ... read more

The Teardrop Explodes - Kilimanjaro

The Teardrop Explodes' debut, Kilimanjaro, is a strong consistent and slightly overlooked post-punk record and although it isn't as amazing as some of the more well known album in this era and most of the tracks aren't either essential for the genre, this album is meant for fans of the genre and it delivers in well produced and well thought out post-punk which is both catchy and on the more playful side of post-punk

Arc Of A Diver isn't necessary bad but it ultimately lacks substance after the opening track While You See A Chance, which i do enjoy a lot with its catchy upbeat tone and its more sentimental bittersweet lyrics it is a fun song the album ultimately falls apart, there are some good songs, some forgettable but nothing really keeps up afterwards.

An unbelievably fantastic Neo-Psychedelia / Chmaber Pop record by Mercury Rev and stands as one of their best release with so many interesting ideas and sounds bursting out there is a lot to delve into here but it's main strength is how lush and ethereal it all sounds and how beautifully it all comes together to put you in a trance and containing some of their best songs easily makes this a must listen.

On Katie Pruitt - Expectations
"I find the vocal melodies easily the strongest point of the album and the lyrics are not subtle but i think it works well within the album favor because it not really a subtl record itself in my opinion. From what i remember i found the instrumentals and production rather boring and the overall sound of the album to be dull which meant that the lyrics and the album as a whole didn't really connect with me. I haven't listen to it in a while but i can't remember much about it expect Out Of The Blue that has grow on me a bit."

On The Who - Tommy
"I don't just do my track rating by track by track. I do it by if the track adds to the album has an experience. Tommy is a very good record and if i didn't have the track ratings it would still get the same score mainly due the concept itself doesn't add much to the my overall enjoyment of the album. Every track is based on my enjoy-ability whether that be production, lyrics, melodies, instrumentals, transition into other songs, its involved and importance within the album, and whether it has impacted me personally (which at the end of the day it subjective) etc. I have listened to this album plenty of times but most of the time i feel especially with this album i wouldn't add anything new to the conversation. Maybe i just don't fully grasp that concept and therefore can't appreciated as much as other people but at least not everyone is going to agree with music."

"@kareenak yh out of all the K-pop band, BTS is the one with the most freedom but I am taking about the genre as a whole and even Jessica Hyun-ju Ho said they are genuine friends but she even stated that many bands in the genre don't like each other and that is the aspect I am talking about. Also, you are trying to say that just because i have this view point that it is xenophobiac when i stated that I like the band Otoboke beaver, and i also like; Akira Yamaoka, BABYMETAL, Run River North and Yuna, music from the other parts of the world in fact has some great stuff out there which i probably haven't heard i, but i don't like restricting people just because their are musicians "
