We can go flow for flow, fuck that we can go mid for mid!

Peggy was really going through it while making this album, I mean just listen to "Ballad of a Poor Man" and you can tell he was definitely not a in a great mental state, which is very easily reflected through the sounds of this album, Peggy sounds way different here, much less energetic, zany, angry and much more drowned out while floating and singing over these vaporwave/ambient beats. There's also a lot less rapping here and just a lot of segments where it's just ... read more
Eminem crafted one of the best Hip-Hop debuts with the fantastic combination of goofy comedy and horrorcore present throughout this entire project, his rhymes are much more basic and less sophisticated compared to his modern work, however, far more enjoyable imo. So many memorable tracks here, deservingly cementing this album in his 3 album run, a run that I'd consider one of the best 3 album runs of all time. This also is the origin of one of the most iconic names in Hip-Hop, that of ... read more
This is Kanye's second-best project and probably the last amazing music he'll ever release. It is watertight and doesn't waste a single second without filling your ears with crazy production, beautiful humming, or vulnerable lyrics from both Kanye and Cudi. All the features are memorable aswell, offering something different in all the songs they're on. Reborn is a top 5 Ye song btw.
Favs: Feel the Love, 4th Dimension, Reborn, Kids See Ghosts, Cudi Montage
Worst: N/A
The best experimental rapper drops AOTY and his second best solo project after "LP!" with some of the most orgasmic production I've heard all year, there is basically no skips on this thing and peggy is at his utmost experimental regarding instrumentation on here, blending the rock genre into a fair few songs of this project, also the Future sample on "either on or off the drugs" is one his weirdest yet best production choices I've ever heard.

The best trap album ever made, with Insane production all around and a good amount of versatility from Travis himself here, all the features complement the song they're on so well even Justin Beiber ?!?!? manages to be the highlight of the song he's on. Almost every song on this project should belong in your top 30 Travis list.
Favs: Pornography, Oh My Dis Side, 3500, 90210, Pray 4 Love, Nightcrawler, Antidote, Maria I'm Drunk, Apple Pie
Worst: Flying High
It's hard to pick between this and "The Blueprint" for best Jay-Z album, but at the end of the day this has "Dead Presidents II" and Blueprint doesn't.
Favs: Can't Knock The Hustle, Brooklyn's Finest, Dead Presidents II, D'evils, Can I live, Cashmere Thoughts, Regrets
Worst: Ain't No N
Jay-Z was really in his bag here, after a somewhat underwhelming line of albums with the Volume series and Dynasty (which no one really remembers) Jay-Z dropped arguably his magnum opus with "The Blueprint" where he is constantly dropping bars and one-liners on some of Kanye's best production. The first track has a fitting name for not just this album but Jay-Z's career as at this point it felt like he was never gonna reach a peak as high as "reasonable doubt" ever ... read more
I came for "Ain't It Funny" since I heard it on TikTok and stayed for the whole thing. There are so many quality tracks on this, backed by some of the strangest and most out-of-this-world production. Combine that with one of the most unique voices in all of hip-hop, and you have one of the best experimental albums I've ever heard.

Please find your own style man, I mean this is better than "valedictorian" but please find your own style.
Favs: Showboat, End Up Gone, Hate Me, Goodbye Horses
Worst: Everything else
The best posthumous album ever released, granted I haven't listened to that many posthumous releases but given how I've seen other labels treat their artists legacies, I know I'm right. Cant wait for "Balloonerism"!
Favs: Circles, Complicated, Blue World, Good News, Woods, Surf
Worst: Hands
It's probably too early to say but this might be the best rap album of the 2020's decade already, JID just has such a way with his smooth flow and versatility with it as well. He is constantly switching everything up here whether it be the production with so many beat switches or genres such as Neo-Soul with the amazing "Kody Blu 31". The features also all show up and don't phone it in, everyone sounds good here no matter if it's just small parts such as Kenny ... read more
This is definitely up there when it comes to best hip-hop debuts, Mos's delivery on every line is just so full of infectious vitality and his bars are amazing as well to boot. Mos is the best part of every track here, never being overshadowed and always holding his own, just gliding over the smooth boom bap and/or jazzy production. If you're a fan of old school hip-hop and you haven't listened to this then what are you doing?

Tyler said in an interview "they're not gonna get it at first, but watch" and I feel like that applies directly to me cause the first time I listened to this album I didn't like it that much, I thought it was overrated and that the lack of "bars" meant that it was lyrically weak and unimpressive, however, I really came around to it and realised just how great this album is as a result of Tyler's writing, production and ability to stick to a concept so strongly ... read more
Wow, this thing grew on me so much, I'm addicted to it. It's constantly on rotation, whether I'm just walking to the shops or even just before I go to bed. The production is just amazing, and whether he's singing, rapping, or humming, Quad absolutely kills it and matches the energy of it. Knowing the story/lore of this album just enhances it so much more especially for such fantastic tracks like "born yesterday", "tell me a joke", "house ... read more
The "not like us" guy makes music?
Kendrick drops his most fun album, while also getting introspective on tracks like "reincarnated" "wacced out murals" and "heart pt. 6" while paying homage to Tupac and embodying the 90's west side style whether it be through beat selection, flow or inflections, this culminates in an excellent album (aside the title track) that proves why Kendrick is easily top 10. Now is this his best album? No, especially when ... read more
