of all the freak folk i've heard this is by far my favourite. songwriting is gorgeous, manages to be earwormy without sacrificing complex song structure, the guitar chords are simple but the unique strumming makes it sound otherworldly. layering of the vocals gives me chills. this album has been very dear to me for a year now, and i thought eventually the novelty would wear off but i still find myself coming back to it every day. i so badly want more people to listen to this!!!
the mix on this is so funny what were they doing . alex isn't doing that annoying teenage emo voice in this which is actually to its detriment that's the best part of old-school all time low
went to a skatepark and a bunch of kids were blasting this song top volume and now i listen to it every time i skateboard bc i can't associate it with anything else ... literally pavlov'ed myself into liking this song
i want this emo album slightly midwest-ier but still a lovely project. i see some people criticising the lyricism but i actually found it one of the most endearing parts of this record. heartbreaking and overly intimate and personal, the way emo should be
