Well done, Karnivool. The 13-year wait was worth it.
Despite the long production, I'm glad these guys chose not to rush this album and only put out something they know they can truly be proud of. It's not perfect in my eyes personally, but it's at least great, and that's all I needed it to be.

Unpopular opinion: Jordan isn't the problem. He did well with the production here. The performances are good too. It's just the writing that irks me.
This is a downgrade from Negative Spaces, but I was already comfortable with that being the dark horse in the discography before this album anyway.

Such a beautiful and ethereal shoegaze record! Such elegant production and soft lullaby vocals that feel like walking into a dream. Natalie almost sounds kind of Beabadoobe-esque. An AOTY contender that has left me [track 8 title].
Also, here's to hard af album covers that look like what the album sounds like.
How often can you say bands like Converge can stay this high-quality with their music this late into their career? Not much.
