Boldy James - The Versace Tape
52

Every track is amazing in terms of writing however the effort doesn't feel the same here as it does on other Boldy James projects. Still solid songs and no major complaints I am walking away with, just doesn't feel or sound as top tier as his other work.

Westside Gunn - WHO MADE THE SUNSHINE
52

One of Westsides more underwhelming projects. You have a good taste of the classic sound and typical Griselda features, however a good number of these tracks fall short for me. Probably the weakest batch of feature performances on a Westside Gunn album. All that being said there is still a number of good stand alone tracks for me.

Pop Smoke - Meet The Woo 2
53

Super refreshing voice in the drill scene. His writing isn't anything jaw dropping but its far from bad. The energy Pop Smoke brought to every track is crazy. Not a big fan of the pacing of this album or the featured artists performances.

Drake - Thank Me Later
53

One of Drake's more boring projects and least concise, that being said the highs on this album are astronomical. His least consistent project but some of his best writing shows up on here as well.

Russ - SHAKE THE SNOW GLOBE
54

One of Russ's better projects. It is super melodic and catchy and he keeps the corny bars on a minimum here. He is super airy and flows over the light and somber production really well.

Kanye West - 808s & Heartbreak
55

One of the most influential albums of all time however sonically I am not a huge fan of the album. I respect it for everything it has done for hip hop and pop music, but I think it suffers from being the first in this sound cause I have heard it done better since. Still will say that "Welcome to Heartbreak, Heartless and Coldest Winter" are some amazing highs in Kanye's catalogue.

21 Savage - Issa Album
55

The first 21 album that showed promise in his catalogue. Some of his most consistent song concepts from his earlier work. Also 14 songs of bangers and an occasional melodic flow which he kills too. Writing still leaves a lot on the table however.

Kota the Friend - Foto
55

One of the best laid back and melodic albums out of the Chicago scene. Kota the Friend comes off as super down to earth and laid back my only gripes with the project is Kota's writing leaves a lot to be desired with a lot of basic rhymes you would here from 80's funk rap.

Spillage Village - Spilligion
56

Very cool style from Spillage Village one of the most unique sound scapes I have heard on a Hip-Hop project. However some of the songs dont have a focus or anything close to it and it leaves the songs sounding super disjointed.

Lloyd Banks - The Course of the Inevitable
56

Good writing and energy from Lloyd throughout the whole project but I will say the songs aren't diverse and the track list does start to blend together. Still a good amount of stand alone tracks.

Future - HNDRXX
56

Future does an amazing blend of psychedelic trap and R&B on this project. Still has some very boring lulls but has some of my favorite Future songs.

Cordae - From a Birds Eye View
55

Not as deep and thoughtful as his first album but this is his "I made it" album, he is super cocky and reminisces about his past. Still has some really good cuts and good writing here and there.

Post Malone - Twelve Carat Toothache
41

All over the place sonically and some of Posty's worst writing however there is still a handful of takeaways here with soulful pop ballads.

Drake - Dark Lane Demo Tapes
56

Drakes most underrated project with some of his best writing and singing here. There is definitly skips here and it isn't the most excessive album but still pretty good.

Curren$y & Harry Fraud - Regatta
56

Really good laid back project from Curren$y his writing is very good and melodic. Not too much to say very solid project.

Kanye West - Donda
56

A ton of amazing tracks on here as Kanye West assembles basically every big name in hip hop, however at almost 2 hours and a couple of very boring cuts makes this sound super bloated and disjointed. It is all over the place but again still has some amazing amazing tracks.

Benny the Butcher - A Friend of Ours
57

I think one of the weaker Benny projects as he switches to mafia rap however Benny's writing is as good as always and that carries the project. The features are really good as well.

DJ Muggs x Mach-Hommy - Tuez-Les Tous
58

A really good project in terms of writing. Nothing too much going on but the writing is exceptional and deep.

Young Thug - JEFFERY
58

One of Thugs best project, his beat selection is playful and light and so are his flows and voice inflections. This has corny and odd bars all over the place but Thugs energy just makes this album a fun listen still.

Mick Jenkins - Elephant In the Room
59

Super melodic and soulful performances from Mick Jenkins his writing is good and the beats are simple but effective. Not too much to say as this is another project that's high on sound but low on content.
