Unlike what seems to be general opinion, I found the second half of this to be a little more consistent than the first. The production was pretty cool for a pop album at points. Enjoyable album overall.
Pretty strong country album. Definitely did not need to be 34 tracks long because there were a couple of small stretches where I lost interest. Outside of a few slightly weaker tracks, this sounded really nice and had some strong lyrical points. Also, Billy Stay, despite being the longest song in an over 2 hour long album, is maybe my favorite country song all year (assuming Big Thief doesn't qualify).
Definitely a lot of nice sounds going on in this one. Not every song fully came together for me, but the overall package was a pretty pleasing one. Also, it felt brisk for being over an hour long.

I was listening to this and when track 7 came on I was just thinking, "This sounds really familiar, maybe I heard it as a single," but realized twenty seconds in that I was listening to a pretty fire Björk cover.
Wow this song was pretty sick. Definitely liked it more than Born Yesterday. Interesting features coming on the album, count me in.

Cleo is one of my favorite albums, so I was naturally pretty excited for Charlotte Dos Santos' sophomore album. I was worried this wouldn't live up to my anticipation, but it really did for the most. A couple of the tracks weren't as interesting production-wise as what was delivered on Cleo and some of the other tracks here, but there was also a handful of beautiful/catchy songs. There were also some direct homages to Cleo that I really enjoyed hearing. Not a perfect album, but showed a lot of ... read more
A bit of a disappointment considering how much I enjoyed her first album. The last leg of this tracklist had some solid highlights, but overall this is pretty much on the same level as Harry's House for me.
From this point on, anytime I find out someone's favorite artist is Porter Robinson, I will just assume they are a good person.
I think the production was pretty solid, but the song just didn't grab be all that much overall.
Not going to rate this yet, but for the record, my rating would be pretty high.
I just want to take a moment to appreciate this band as well as break down my thoughts on each track. I was fortunate enough to see BC,NR live with Black Midi recently, and it was an incredible experience. I've gotten to know these new songs over the past couple months, and seeing them performed by the band feet away from me was truly beautiful. Geese is not included in the tracklist as they haven't been playing it ... read more
Production was mostly fine outside of when the album got boring. Blick Blick is a certified banger, but outside of a couple decent tracks, this is just a whole lotta filler.
There's a handful of really bad songs, but the rest are either decently performed generic rock or just funny enough to keep me entertained.
