A pretty good first showing. Nothing crazy but I like Genesis a lot. Acoustic Guitar go brrrrr.
Very good album. Just as heavy sounding as they always are, albeit there's a significant amount of bloat in this one. I feel a good 3 or 4 songs could have been purged from this (36 or Pictures for example).
Ashes to Ashes is a top 10 bowie song for sure, aside from that one and because you're young It does sound very samey. Not to a horrid degree of samey but noticeable enough.
Some pretty good Rap. Nothing mind blowing, but still very solid. Another one that might go higher if I listen to it again.
This is one that'll probably go higher on another listen but as it stands right now it's pretty good. It's a sound similar to Jar of Flies and that's a good thing, but nothing has stood out as peak as things stood out in their previous two albums. Also has the first song i'm not the biggest fan of God Am. Layne's vocals are still on point though. Still a very good album!
Has some insane highs but there are a noticeable amount of songs that sound generic, like their first album. Album Art's pretty cool though. Overall it rounds out to being just good.
Very different sound than compared to what I'm used to but it works, I likey. Nothing much else to say.
Introducing themselves pretty well here, Angine De Poitrine bring the might of microtunes and go wild. Their second album is ever so slightly better imo, but this one's pretty good. Ababa Hotel is my highlight.
When I first listened to this album I thought this was so peak... then I listened to Lonerism and this seemed a lot more amateur to me LOL. Still a great album, but it really just is in the shadow of something greater.
Underrated? Maybe? I haven't been in the doors discourse house so you tell me. I like the more chill, whimsical songs on this one. Wintertime Love, Yes the River Knows, stuff like that. Nothing Mindblowing, but still pretty great either way.
A somewhat samey sounding album but it's got some great stuff. Life on Mars specifically is very peak.
Pretty close to their first album in quality, except this one has slightly higher highs, so it edges out for me. Funky stuff, Microtones go brrrrrrr
Hearing this album for the first time was crazy, and I love how each song builds itself up. There are a few times though when the digital sounds get overbearing. Still awesome sauce.
There are certainly some bangers on here, and it's pretty experimental, which is commendable. But I find Gorillaz to be the best when 2-D is the main guy vocally, of which this album has like, a handful of songs like that maybe? Still great but not the best we can get from these guys.
Pretty rocking album. Monstrace Clock and Secular Haze are standouts for me. Maybe a little forgettable, but not so forgettable that I'd rank it low.
Despite the rotted versions being important in the historical side of this band and album, this album would probably be better without them tbh. The unrotted songs here are bangers though.
One that could potentially get higher if I listen to it again. great guitar work but the star of the show is his voice. This guys voice is legendary. Another fella taken too soon.
The Doors made yet another psychedelic album, better than the first for me, and has some great songs.
Shades of Station to Station can be heard, but it does well as it's own thing. Once again it's good either way because bowie's 70's run was crazy, but it's got it's merits beyond that.
