But this isn't Jazz, Cartier!
Found this album on a Travis subreddit and they knew what they are talking about.
Hotel Paranoia is at it's best when it leans into the dark paranoid atmosphere, but he can also make club anthems and chill cloud rap. He has a little Travis, Sean Leon and Fetty Wap in him, so if you love the 2010s Trap and these artists, this is a must listen. However the concept is used a bit loosely and he just tried showing of his variety instead of locking in on the ... read more
I listened last month and I think a 20min runtime is enough to consider it an LP for the sake of the website rating.
It was very good and soulful but the production could be better at points. Plus Sampha on here means it's good.
Relistened to this again and I would like to rate it higher as this has so much potential but I can't even hear half the lyrics cuz the mixing is ass.
People say in 2093 we will have flying cars, but we would just have Lil Wayne...
Yeat is back with a futuristic project and it's more cinematic than ever. The production improved a lot since his early days, he now has a distinct sound for his project without having each beat sound like the same AI 'Yeat Type Beat'. His flows are still weak and he still sounds like he was made in a lab by TikTok Scientists to make music for the platform, but he is learning to make an album here.
More bells than in jingle.
This album is prove why I was a better of not listening to Yeat years ago and said he's a TikTok Artist.
No energy, Repetive flows and ass lyrics. The beatselection doesn't win it over too, as it's between good and mediocrity.
In general I am not even a Yeat hater, I even like his vocals and he has some great songs/features but he's overrated. If we genuinely think he will lead this generation without a massive step forward in his artistry ... read more

Album #29, 1990s, Pop Punk
Well it's not Dookie. I mean it is but it's not!? Ifykyk...
I enjoy this album, however it's very basic and bland. The main instrumentation and melodies are repetitive and simple. They make it up with vibes and some great moments. This album cover is very funny tho.

Album #28, 1990s, Trip Hop
The Post-Punk Era brought another genre to the light of day in trip Hop. Incorporating hip hop elements and these many sounds from the Punk Era, Portishead was one of the biggest faces of the genre. And let me tell you: This Album is amazing. From melancholic melodies, for what they even use the organ, over the dusty hip hop esque drums to an ... read more
Starts of fine, but he didn't really evolve as an artist. His flows are okay but repetitive and the production is so sleepy and basic.

Album #Bonus, 1990s, Grunge
As I already listened to Nevermind I went onto this one. It's not nearly as influential, so I couldn't get it in this series. Still this record is really great. I think the production on Nevermind is way more unique and even more modern sounding, which is really surprising to see. They evolved their style and didn't just stay in ... read more

Album #27, 1990s, Grunge
Turns out one of the most talked about Albums OAT is a masterpiece. Not a surprise...
REREVIEW:
I had given it 100 the first time I reviewed it because it has the hits, the deep cuts and the variety to make a great record. Also 'Something in the Way' is my favorite Nirvana Song because it's just so special, you don't find many ... read more

Album #26, 1990s, G Funk
People who don't fuck with Dre at all are just boring. I said it.
One of the vibiest genres of all time. Dre G Funk is great and while this tape doesn't have as many misses as 2001, it doesn't quiet reach it's highs. While I actually prefer 2001, I see the influence the Chronic had to make the sound global which would later ... read more
I was expecting a lot from this record as Kelela was great on features and people said she is similar to sampha. Long story short, she's not as interesting as sampha. The album is fine but not great. The soundscape is between atompsheric and nice and sometimes a bit boring and her vocals have potential but she doesn't do interesting things with them most of the time. It's just nothing special sadly and I really was expecting something of originality here. However the album ... read more

Album #25, 1990s, Hip Hop Soul
Melodic hip hop has its roots in the 90s, who would have thought? Well most people that know ball, but anyway. Combining RnB Vocals and Hip Hop Beats shouldn't have worked as good as it does, probably the brith hour of my favorite rap style. This tape is kinda repetitive, the beats aren't always great but it has a solid level. Mary J ... read more
Mike Will Made-It shouldn't have Made-This.
The album has more comedic than musical value π₯Άπ
J Cole really came with the Paw Patrol. Sahbabii got fries to his rapper beef. Ludacris being Ludacris. Teezo is just getting real deep.
Gunna might have asked Mike's feature guests to do a mid competition.
Mike had some solid beats, but most features sold the bag to undercover cops.
It's sad that Travis is officially Mr.Rager since the earthquake in Rome.
A sad Kid Cudi without Mr.Rager is like heaven without sunlight or Kanye West without Twitter.

Album #24, 1990s, Shoegaze
I was expecting too much. The production couldn't really pull me in for long. It was a nice experience and the production is interesting, but this project seems very overrated.
Edit: I already switched up. I will relisten a 4th time and give my final thoughts.
Edit 2: yeah I think this album is amazing. The nasty, a bit dirty sounding guitars ... read more

Album #55, 2010s, Drill
"They say Chief Keef ain't bout this, Chief Keef ain't about that."
"Shut the fuck up."
Chief Keef was easily going the hardest in the 2010s and this album is a staple classic in hip hop. The generation before had 50, but we had Chief Keef who is cooler than a cooler and is loved by all the bitches.

Album #23, 1980s, Goth Rock
I am cured. But I don't know from what.
The Indie of the Punk Scene is Goth Rock aka Post-Punk. The genre began when bands went independent like in Punk but incorporated more experimental, avant-garde, and art-rock influences and darker, introspective themes instead of political rebellion. Pretty interesting if you ask me, but let's ... read more

Album #22, 1980s, Hip Hop
The first Hip Hop record on this list and it's great. I love the historical context and how they actually wrote about a revolution, while being part of their own revolution in music. This album aged like fine wine. Nowadays Hip Hop is the Rock of the youth and it all started around then, with this being a defining classic in the genre. Moreover ... read more
