It seems like PP (yes that's what I'm calling her) has plenty of potentially sticky tunes up her sleeve. Just somehow, this album constantly has the same unchanging tempo and little variety of sonic dynamics.

It was what I thought it was!
This album doesn't suck like I thought it would. It's just that all the qualities I appreciate here are miniscule. And in the back of my mind, I'm trying hard not be underwhelmed with the fact that this is his "40" album that he decided not to give us until he was 42.
