Happy almost birthday, Remission <3

I used to think Leviathan was the best early Mastodon but the more I listen to this one, the more I appreciate it. Just god-tier drumming and riffage. I could listen to Trainwreck all day (and I have before, lol).

I first rated this album years ago but recently bought the 5 year anniversary edition on vinyl, so I’ve been re-listening to it. It’s still such a solid record and so much stronger than any of their follow-ups imo. Mother and 1040 Gotho remain among their best songs.

This is really not for me, but i’m glad i checked it out because i’ve been curious about the Sleep Token hype for a while, and now i feel like i know why people like it, even if *i* don’t.

There is a small part of me that thinks this album is tacky, but a much larger part that just really, really enjoys it.
