this album made me so happy that it feels painful to give it a low 8 but the tracks around the middle of the album were often weak and forgettable despite that i had the biggest fucking grin ever while listening

this isnt his best album but it is most mature album to date i think the why vince staples has come as a musician and rapper is beautiful to witness he is one of the most underrated in his field

vince staple is proving himself to be one of my favourite hiphop artists alive right now
the production and sound here is incredible especially for a genre he isnt the most used to i think the trap beats with his normal monotone way of rapping have really nice synergy and help set the more somber tone for the album however i think at times i got a bit boring to sit through but that could be due to the length of the album not being enough to flesh out the sound

fm! has really strong tracks like id expect from vince staples but it also feels like it has a lot of mediocre and filler tracks which makes sense for its radio vibes and concept of how the mainstream consumes and makes light of black art but it doesnt really feel like a full album especially with its length
