Bruno Mars - I Just Might
85

This man is never gonna stop gambling with the cash he's gonna get with this upcoming record lol

but uh yeah this single is hella funky and good and a good way of me getting back into new music reviewing

Lil Uzi Vert - What You Saying
80

in love with this ballroom sample! really sells the new posh fashion show aesthetic Uzi is putting on.

i also loved the first 3 singles

James Blake - Bad Cameo
85

I hate being a procrastinator.

Kendrick Lamar - Not Like Us
100

This funeral about to be lit

Paramore - After Laughter
80

I'm finally done with this damn discography dive. After several months of procrastination. Yippee.

Drake - For All The Dogs Scary Hours Edition
70

(ONLY REVIEWING THE NEW TRACKS)

Ok sure, it's good and all these songs have tons more quality to them then most of the tracks on the original project.

But one thing that does leave a sour taste in my mouth is that... why can't Drake always deliver this level of 🔥 every time he has the opportunity? This EP just makes it obvious that Drake has just been hella lazy with his skills, not that we haven't already got that message already

Danny Brown - Quaranta
80

I know how it feels to be hoeless as well, Danny poo 😞😞😞😞

The Kid LAROI - THE FIRST TIME
55

This guy just LOVES to ask his questions

"WHAT JUST HAPPENED?" "WHAT WENT WRONG???" "WHERE DOES YOUR SPIRIT GO?" "WHERE DO YOU SLEEP?"

Like bitch why are you asking ME as if I know?? AND NOW IM ASKING QUESTIONS NOW GOD DAMN LEEROY

AJR - The Maybe Man
52

Drip or Drown

Ok. Alright. I finally listened to an AJR project. Time to break down what I think about Brad Taste's favorite 'theathercore' trio.

What I've always kinda imagined their music to sound like some peppy alt pop/indie pop with sone quirky, "introspective", and relatable to an extent lyrics about just making it through life. At least that's what I've gathered from reviews here on the website. And I think I did just hit the nail on the head quite well.

So I can finally ... read more

Jane Remover - Census Designated
76

So I've FINALLY gotten around to listening to Jane Remover.

After checking out their dope feature on Wallsocket, I finally just slapped myself (metaphorically) and told myself: "Census Designated. Listen to it ASAP."

I'll be honest, man... this was great. And also loud. But some moments REALLY drag on and ruin the experience for me just mildly.

Please don't hurt me @RiskR

Kristin Hayter - SAVED!
79

My first exposure to Lingua Ignota.

Starting now.

(AFTER:) wow that was weird but enjoyable

Ken Carson - A Great Chaos
65

I mean, it IS a definite step up from X. But I didn't even bother to finish that album, so not sure if that says a lot or not (yeah, it def does)

The beats FUCK on here and I didn't really find a dull one throughout & Ken does sound interesting from start to end instead of his typical mind-numbingly boring, old flow.

But 1 issue that's been super apparent on basically all of Ken's projects, including this one: it does get repetitive quickly. Despite me thinking the ... read more

Lil Wayne - Tha Fix Before Tha VI
46

A pretty tame and same-old Weezy mixtape that might be indicating a very underwhleming Tha Carter album (I like how I'm saying this acting like I've listened to that much music by him)

Also Tity Boi is so fucking stupid and silly that I do have both extremely ironic and unironic love towards it

underscores - Wallsocket
81

Wish me good luck, guys.

I don't why, but still.

Doja Cat - Scarlet
60

I haven't been much of a Doja Cat listener at all, but I do feel like this latest project by her is kinda what I "anticipated" to hear.

With going into more rap focused type of lane with her music, while also sticking with that top-of-the-charts pop formula she's had.

The end result? Some mildly listening music.

Teezo Touchdown - How Do You Sleep At Night?
67

Yeah I don't know where people were coming from with 3/10 & 4/10 scores when this was starting to release in other regions

While granted it's a bit inconsistent with Teezo trying to execute a lot of different ideas and also annoying with the bleeping-out swear words, it's just fun & unique man idk

And Teezo's singing having a lot of uniqueness and personality made it hard for me to hate this as much as others do

Olivia Rodrigo - GUTS
71

I mean, I haven't listened to SOUR yet so I can't really say if she's evolved or not...

but i do think the music is okay 👍

Dream - to whoever wants to hear
40

I get that this is Dream we're talking about, but I don't think this is "13/100" bad... however it does still kinda reek from a creativity side of things

Nico Discenza - How Do You Know It's Love?
83

So after being bored in school, I've had time to listen to some AOTY user-made music that's been sitting in my discussion box for some time, and this was one of the things shared with me.

And man, @TheUmbranHammer is quite the musical artist. That first track was so heartfelt & soft and that second song did have a good balance of loud and soft, like Jc9ers says.

So yeah, if Nico has more stuff like this in the vault, I MUST BE ALERTED WHEN IT RELEASES.
