Why does this exist? Be honest with me. Do you think IAN cares about his artistic vision? Do you think he has anything to say? The answer is no. This album is just nothing for 19 minutes. The short runtime also annoys me because he could’ve fleshed out a sound. But no, it just ends for some reason. I say that but then I realize he doesn’t have a sound to flesh out. Just a sad album that doesn’t bring anything to anyone ever.
A surprisingly chill Boris album, something I’ve definitely needed as of late. Just sit back, relax, and realize that Boris is one of the best bands to ever do it.
Absolutely phenomenal in every sense of the word. Merzbow brings something new to these songs, something different. The noise is crushing, the vocals are so drowned out by pure noise and guitars it’s awesome. Boris has been one of my favourite bands ever since I listened to pink for the first time back in December of 2022. And hearing this reassured me that I made the right decision.
A breath of fresh air for me. I had been listening to bandit a lot before this album cause it goes hard as shit and I can confirm, the rest of the album has good songs. But some are boring, especially those in the forth disc. But this album overall would absolutely fuck in a live setting.
An absolutely breathtaking final studio album. With layers upon layers of deep, impactful production. I spent the majority of today worrying about exams, so I’m glad this album took me to a different world.
After the big step up that was orange, this is slightly disappointing. Hopefully the band can improve. I know it’s a live album but considering their other live album is phenomenal, maybe I was expecting too much.
This one is fine, really. It doesn’t really stand out to me a whole lot. It’s just doing what the band does. Not the best but just indescribably doing what the band does.
I found some really, really special songs on this album, but the overall package is a bit underwhelming. And no I’m not making the joke
A regression for sure, but not a horrible one. Just one filled with safe songs that don’t see the band growing.
I needed this album. My mental health has been going up and down a whole lot lately. Never staying consistent. But I needed this album to slow me down and let me be sad. To let me hear somebody grieve. I’m not good at listening, but I have to when it comes to this guy. With the bad audio quality and mixing coupled with the devastating singing and especially lyrics. It can be childish at points, but it never feels unnatural or annoying. It’s hard to process emotions after your mother ... read more
I think everybody who thinks this album is bad should listen to what the band did before this. This album is a vast, vast, vast improvement on all fronts and is actually enjoyable. With not only better production and songwriting, but good production and songwriting. Good job blink boys
The boys are improving, step by step. It’s nothing phenomenal. Or even good, but it’s a big step in the right direction. With vast improvements in production and songwriting.
Still unpolished and not very good. One of these guys sounds like Mordecai and I can’t get that out of my head.
