The Police - Synchronicity

Other than the massive hit a bout stalking someone, I enjoyed "Walking in Your Footsteps" and "King of Pain". The album was decent but didn't sound like Every breath you take as I expected at all. Not that it's a bad thing, I just wasn't expecting the massive hit to be so different from the rest of the LP.

Madonna - Madonna

Oh My Gawd it's Madonna! *Teenage girl scream* ( Legit tho that's a very pretty face, would be a shame if it were to be ruined by a botched plastic surgery.)

I have heard a thing or two about this infamous woman over the years. I even heard a song or two. But up to this point I have yet go give her any real attention, and today's the day to change that mistake! I always thought that she made generic mainstream pop that gets all the attention and money but it's nothing really all that good and ... read more

Oingo Boingo - Good for Your Soul

I enjoyed the stretch of songs from "Cry of the Vatos" to "Nothing Bad ever Happens" everything else was fine at but nothing I found noteworthy. Real solid album overall though.

Marcos Valle - Marcos Valle

A phenomenally produced boogie album, with all the grooves and emotional/nostalgic ballads to balance the experience out. It is not perfect as a few songs didn't quite hit the spot that I would have liked, but the vast majority of this album is downright amazing and I highly encourage you to check this hidden gem
out!

While no individual songs stood out for me, I still liked the consistent momentum this album has never slowing down for nobody. Decent stuff but nothing must listen.

666 followers! Thank you to all of you devils for your support! To celebrate this wonderful milestone let's fucking experience what the fucking rapture would probably be like together shall we?!

I have already listened to this album back in the spring of 23 so I already know that this is quite the journey with many memorable parts to it. It may have not been the best album the amazing year of 71 has to offer, but DAMN is it one of the most unique albums I have ever heard period. So let's dive ... read more

Industrial is an Interesting genre that's always offers a unique listening experience. Pretty gritty shit right here. Not for the feint of heart.

Yazoo - You and Me Both
85

If I could marry a production I'll honestly yes to the proposal of this album. It's everything I adore out of 80's synths and whatever else that makes this music as great as it is!

While I can't get enough of that sexy music too much of it gets pretty tiring and spamming it at me is appreciated but it leaves the overall experience not as fulfilling as I would like it to be. There's still PLENTY of good music from this album from two talented artists that like the Beatles split before ... read more

Cyndi Lauper - She's So Unusual

Uh oh looks like we got a certified pop banger on our hands.

Like seriously this album has very few misses and they really aren't that bad anyways. Plus every single other songs from the club bangers to the ballads it's all just super quality stuff that's a whole lotta fun to move and groove to! The production is the classic 80's pop shit that we all know and love, and Cyndi's voice is made for this kind of music. It all works really well together and I swear. Most of these songs could be ... read more

Eh I am not feeling this one. It seems a bit too generic and fodder to be overplayed on the radio to everyone's annoyance. Not my kind of music.

Ryan Gosling???

Recently I haven't been the most proud of my reviews so for now I am going to spice it up with some actual effort beyond general thoughts and feelings and calling it a day. It's going to take more time and there's going to be less reviews per day mostly 1-2 instead of 2- 6 on a good day, but honestly it should be worth it with my reviews being more observant and aware of the music I am listening to and a more concerted effort in general. So less reviews in favor of higher ... read more

Caroline Polachek - Dang

Just now learned of this single's existence and I don't like it mostly because I find the repetitive "dang" and kinda obnoxious production that goes along with it just not enjoyable. The verses are kinda whatever don't have any feelings about them in any direction. I did like the bridge about the spilt milk and faces though. The random scream is fine too but the whole "Dang" part that takes up most of the pretty short runtime needs some work. Not impressed with this single, ... read more

Bacamarte - Depois do fim

Some of the FINEST progressive rock that I have ever had the pleasure of hearing. Holy fuck that was amazing!

I love that they mix epic guitar solos, medieval folk music, a fucking church organ, synths and so much more into this wonderful soundscape that's only complimented by the powerful and beautiful female voice of Jane Duboc passionately singing away. Everything is done to perfection and I don't know how I could improve this masterpiece. It's going to be hard to beat for 1983 AOTY, IDK ... read more

Man it's been a minute hell even two minutes since I reviewed an Alice Cooper album. So long ago that it's amongst my earliest reviews from last June. Old school blues and rock: The album

The obvious appeal to this album is the great execution of the classic blues sound with the AMAZING use of the guitar that is full of personality and is the true star of the album. Generally I do enjoy the music but as the album goes along it gets more obvious that things are pretty one note and soon enough your appreciative more than awe inspired and impressed by the guitar playing. It's a good blues album but it's too monotonous of a listen overall for me ... read more

Windows 96 - How To See Through Walls

With Windows 96's latest project to date of writing this review, they are back to making engaging synthwave music with some experiments of bard/ medieval instrumentation worked in on some of the tracks. I also recall one song having a bit of hip hop production briefly. So I am very happy that even on their 11th LP they are still experimenting and evolving their sound.

While this album isn't as great as "Nematophy" and "Enchanted Instrumentals and Whispers" it's still a ... read more

"@AidenBowe45 I am likely not the intended audience since I am a grown ass 26 year old listening to these lyrics. I may not be fully aware of what the kiddos are into these days, but when I was an edgy teenager in middle school, shit like this banged for the girlies."
On Swans - Soundtracks for the Blind
"@OldTask This album is definitely geared towards the artsy fartsy folks that appreciate just how deep into the rabbit hole this experience takes them. Definitely takes an experienced or a very open ear to truly "get it." Not everyone does, but the ones that do praise this shit up and down like I do."
On Swans - Soundtracks for the Blind
"@Moosky This album is fit for a very particular meditative mindset you have to be in for the Inherent strangeness to pack as hard of a punch as it does. Like many albums I love this is like a sonic drug trip that is more to be experienced than enjoyed as regular music. This album has a legendary status because it goes deep into this surreal experimental soundscape unapologetically and not everyone is going to get it, but those who do are immensely rewarded. I recommend you to maybe expand your horizons and listen to ambient/Psychedelic/ experimental releases similar to this so your pallet is more used to what this amazing album has to offer. Cont."

On David Bowie - Station to Station
"@Jakeisthedoctor Man I really should delete and reevaluate these albums I reviewed in my early days when my taste wasn't nearly as refined yet expansive as it is now. Back in 2023 I was throwing my inexperienced taste into classics head first with no idea what I was talking about. It's part of the reason why I am exploring the 60s and 70s again along with bolstering my limited playlists. To great success too with my 60s playlist going from 90 tracks to over 750 and growing as I am now appreciative of the greatness that I am consuming. I promise when I get to these albums again down the road, I will likely have a more reasonable take. For now, just enjoy how unhinged I was in 2023."
On Vapora - Oceanside Mall
"@frogofprog oh yeah, Vapora. I definitely had mixed feelings with this artist. They had some genuinely great vaporwave along with...well ones that missed the mark. Yeah I was a bit more loose with my reviews back in 2023 just experimenting with how I liked to present my reviews. It results in some reviews I am still proud of to some I just go crazy on. It is also an era where I was still forming my tastes on like twenty+ genres at once so don't take my early reviews that seriously."

On Fabrizio De André - Vol. 1°
"@I_love_chickenw Good for them and the people that praise their writing. That's not the reason I fell in love with music so I don't focus on it. And that is just as fine as those who do the opposite and completely mute the music and gush over the writing. Different strokes, we all appreciate art in our own individual ways."
On Fabrizio De André - Vol. 1°
"@I_love_chickenw Maybe I'll appreciate that part of the experience when I decide to give a shit about the lyrics. Until then, those pink floyd classics offer an amazing sonic experience regardless of whatever they are yapping about."
