I thought I would like it more but this is still really good.
This is ironically the greatest album of all time. Even if it’s not good, it’s an amazing display of how Weezer presents themselves as the lovers of jokes and memes, and I feel like that’s a pretty good strategy considering how boring their music has been recently.
This was my Christmas present. Though I don’t know exactly if what I got is the same on streaming services (my copy is 3 discs and 57 songs), this is quite the reissue. I had fun as always with the double album proper, now with modern production that doesn’t seem overly compressed. Then the Esher Demos are a nice little insight I wouldn’t say this enhances the quality of the album, but it does show it under a new light. It’s charming, but it drags on and the songs never feel very organized but have the production to suggest they’re supposed to be organized, making it very messy. Some solid song though.
