I think it starts out a bit weird but it swiftly gets going. Those guitars are nasty!!!
"BELIEVE IN ME, WHO BELIEVES IN YOU" sees Aries taking a turn for the generic. This LP has some really cool ideas but ultimately the songwriting keeps it from being anything worthwhile. The production is certainly the highlight of Aries LP 2, coming with arena-ready beats and sticky melodies. "BOUNTY HUNTER" is a fantastic intro that really sets the mood for the rest of the album. The little synth lead at the end of "KIDS ON MOLLY" is especially cute. That said, ... read more
"Live at Electric Lady" has some very nice vibes on it. I enjoy listening to it.
The soundscapes on "Lux" are immaculate. Had me soaring thru the stratosphere at 1,000,000 miles per hour.
"Fishmonger" is one of the best albums of the year. It blends hyperpop, indie rock. rnb & so much more incredibly seamlessly. "Bozo bozo bozo" starts out a hard hitting banger but come the second half it transitions into this beautiful synth eargasm bliss. "such a lovely moon we sit under" contains immaculate and consistent vibes. The production is very wonderful.
Lovejoy's "Pebble Brain" is a lot rougher around the edges than it's predecessor "Are You Alright?" but the songwriting & instrumentation manage to remain consistent throughout. With that being said, I can't help but think of this as a downgrade. The production at times can sound extremely immature and not in an endearing way.
the flute lead in the hook is kind of odd but if u look past that this song is the cream of the crop
honestly this song goes nowhere. the structure is super wonky makes the song feel like it never existed
big draco makes a return to the swag saga with "swag 4" and while it doesn't reach the heights of swag 2, it's a great return to form
this might be ok if u turned the vocals down & then turned the beat down & then took ur headphones off & then read a book instead
