this album is at it's best when there are no features. Wayne's voice used to annoy me but it sounds so good here. First listen is giving me some really good vibes, I love this album <3

this was the first rap album I've ever listened to and it brings back such good memories

Popping in and out of concept, American Idiot feels like a boring drab rinse wash and repeat of previous songs that doesn't really tackle anything substantial. The political drive in the album seems really tacked on and doesn't go much deeper than "bush bad, me no likey". This album just doesn't work in the way 17 works to me. 17 was a small to the point piece of music that had no room for filler because it was so compact and short. This album however is FULL of filler songs that should have been left on the cutting board
