There's a decent bit of filler on this album, but the songs that hit, hit hard. Go with the Flow, God is in the Radio, Another Love Song, Song for the Deaf, No One Knows, all extremely solid songs. The guitar and drums build such power within the intrumentation and this album definitely deserves all the praise it gets.
The first half of the album is good, however the second half is insane. While still experimental, interesting, and enjoyable to listen to, DISC 1 doesn't even come to close to DISC 2 in quality. Songs like Frankie M, The Glowing Man, and Finally, Peace, are why I enjoy post-rock so much. This album's biggest strength in my opinion is how it builds. Every song is so thought out, and builds upon itself into a noisy experimental climax that resolves the song.
