Even if it took some time, of course I was going to listen to the “EASY” remixes. I don't care about the sped-up and slowed version, but I was curious about the PluggnB and Drum & Bass remix.
As I started getting more into newer French rappers, I also got more familiar with Plugg, and PluggnB is a derivative of it. I was pretty curious about how they would arrange their way around it and… that is not what I thought PluggnB was. Apart from the misleading name, the song ... read more
Since February and due to how dry K-pop is these days, I’ve been checking out more projects from groups I wouldn’t normally be interested in, mostly smaller/new boy groups. The process is simple, as I watch music shows like 3 times a week, when a group performs something that sounds nice, I note it down and add them to my list, I usually keep between 1 and 3 groups like this. This is how I ended up checking TWS, AIMERS, EVNNE and now NOMAD. Sadly, with the group’s debut, comes ... read more
𝘔𝘺 𝘎𝘪𝘳𝘭 : “𝘔𝘺 𝘊𝘩𝘰𝘪𝘤𝘦” is nice, the EP is simple and stay within a safe range of songs without sounding flat and completely uninspired.
The first two tracks fit my style. In “Effortless” we can feel a sort of minimal production and a sensual tone. I’d say it’s close to sounding empty at times, but you always have something that comes to bring back some energy to the song. Although “Effortless” lacks ... read more
I’m not too sure what to think about 𝘌𝘝𝘌𝘙𝘚𝘏𝘐𝘕𝘌, and this might already be enough to understand my feelings about the project. I think overall, it’s relatively flat. Nothing stands out; apart from a few moments, we never get anything that good.
I will remember “C’est La Vie” for two things, first, it’s a new addition to French-titled songs in K-pop, and second, it’s the worst Jersey Club take I’ve heard in K-pop. As the ... read more
Hello??? This is genuinely good! Another fun and upbeat track coming from a nugu girl group. I like the future bass-like synths, I like the melody, I like the lively beats, and pretty much everything about it (but one thing I'll mention at the end). This is a pre-release so we'll see with the "real" project how listeners welcome the group, and if they can have more than one great song.
However, once again when I look through the members, I am met with disappointment looking at the ... read more
I just found out about this through Twitter and can't stop thinking about how I wish I found out earlier. This could have been so big for real! It has everything to be a viral hit, it's cute, has the upbeat nu-disco beat, features nice vocals, and of course, it's catchy and fun to listen to. The world is truly against fromis winning I see...

I've always wanted to dig deeper into French rap, even though I'm French, I only know a little about the diverse and creative rap scene in my country. From pioneers like the beloved MC Solaar and NTM's conscious rap, to today's popular rappers such as Nekfeu and Orelsan, ... read more
What pushed me to give this a listen is the album cover. In a time where K-Pop covers are more basic and lazy (LE SSERAFIM’s 𝘌𝘈𝘚𝘠, EVNNE's 𝘜𝘯: 𝘚𝘌𝘌𝘕 & ITZY's 𝘉𝘖𝘙𝘕 𝘛𝘖 𝘉𝘌, to name 3 that came out earlier). With 𝘒𝘪𝘭𝘭𝘪𝘯’ 𝘐𝘵’s album art, P1Harmony is definitely killin’ it.
Before jumping onto this LP, I already knew “Killin It” from their music show performances, and not for the ... read more
I wasn’t expecting TAEYONG to have a comeback already, as far as I know, he and now TEN, are the only two NCT members to have a mini-album. I thought others would make their solo debut before, not all of them, but more than one for sure. Unlike most, I liked 𝘚𝘏𝘈𝘓𝘈𝘓𝘈, and 𝘛𝘈𝘗 doesn’t move far away from it. To be honest, if I had reviewed 𝘚𝘏𝘈𝘓𝘈𝘓𝘈 before, I would have probably been able to copy past it, change the song titles and a few ... read more
Back with TWICE
2023 wasn’t so busy for TWICE regarding comebacks, compared to previous years. They dropped a couple of Japanese tracks, 𝘙𝘌𝘈𝘋𝘠 𝘛𝘖 𝘉𝘌 (which wasn’t received so well) in March and embarked on the “𝘙𝘦𝘢𝘥𝘺 𝘵𝘰 𝘉𝘦 𝘞𝘰𝘳𝘭𝘥 𝘛𝘰𝘶𝘳” the following month. The tour is supposedly ending in July 2024 in Japan, after shows kept on being added. We’ll see if 2024 offers the same for the ... read more
I wonder how TRI.BE manages to stay in the game, but they're still dropping music far to be awful, despite not being good enough to get my full attention. "Diamond" is a decent afrobeats track, even if it sounds flat at times. As for "Run", it's a nice addition to their catalogue, and I would have put this one as the title track instead of "Diamond". It's far more catchy and interesting to me, the song feels fresh, and if LE SSERAFIM had a song like this on ... read more
I don't really like the production and the light autotune in the chorus when she does the higher notes sounds too metallic to me. However, the song features good and personal lyrics so I don't want to give it a rating too low.

J'aime pas vraiment la production et le léger autotune dans le refrain quand elle tente d'atteindre les notes plus hautes sonne un peu trop métallique à mon goût. Par contre, Mathilde nous propose des paroles bien ... read more
LE SSERAMID (too tempting im sorry), and their most cohesive, yet most deceiving EP to date.

I believe I already thought about giving EVNNE's 𝘜𝘯: 𝘚𝘌𝘌𝘕 a go before, either after reading @ShadeRD's review or seeing them on music shows, but the first track they promoted, "UGLY", simply wasn't hitting me in the right way to make me curious about their full project. However, after I saw them with "K.O.", I decided to put them on my list.
If "UGLY" isn't too much my style, I can still see its appeal, and I've heard way worse from groups with ... read more
After seeing them perform "Somebody" on Music Bank Friday, this is my first time listening to AIMERS. I found the track appealing with its light pop-rock tone and catchy chorus and decided to give them a proper listen. I, of course, liked the song the same way as I did when watching them, it's pretty entertaining, just what I'm looking for in this new wave of boy groups (although they debuted in 2020, this is my first time hearing about them). As for "Where We Go", it's ... read more
Hi everyone, in 2024 I want to challenge myself by writing reviews for other projects than K-Pop ones. I wasn't quite sure how to proceed or where to start, plenty of users already covers perfectly well most of what I listen to so I wanted to find something that had less coverage. Earlier this year I picked up French music mag Les Inrockuptibles's special end-of-the-year edition, as I'm closer to finishing it, I decided to dive into the 15 artists they put on their radar and review one of their ... read more
It's a pretty simple tune, it's fine and there's nothing wrong with it but it's simply not engaging and feels a bit flat. I expected more from the guy who released "Heartbreak" and did wonders on his debut EP 𝘊𝘏𝘈𝘚𝘌. Unfortunately, Minho's "Stay for a night" won't even stay for a minute in my memory because of how basic it is.
The song is soft and LeeHi's sweet voice completes it gorgeously. It doesn't do any wonders but remains a pleasant safe and slow tune.
