BIBI is back on her BIBI shit and I love it.
To me, both tracks encapsulate 𝗕𝗜𝗕𝗜's singular rnb style, while "Bam Yang Gang" represents her typical chill and happy side ("BINU", "I'm good at goodbyes'', "PADO"), "Sugar Rush" feels like an expansion of that sound towards something less usual (a quiet 𝘓𝘰𝘸𝘭𝘪𝘧𝘦 𝘗𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘤𝘦𝘴𝘴: 𝘕𝘰𝘪𝘳 track). I enjoy both of them, surely not the best ... read more
The only work I've heard from 𝗧𝗘𝗡 as a soloist is "Paint Me Naked", and I enjoyed it, so I was confident when going into this project about the music I'd find. Thankfully, 𝗧𝗘𝗡's first EP met my expectations.
The first noticeable sound of 𝘛𝘌𝘕 is its nocturnal feel. From the dark "Nightwalker" and its dense drop to the laid-back "Shadow" (my two favs). I guess the trap of "ON TEN" could join this side as it also embodies a kind ... read more
SUNMI walked so CHUU could run
Once again, 𝗖𝗵𝘂𝘂 proves SHE is the most fun person to ever walk on this earth. This is what I'm kinda hoping for when I want to listen to fun dance-pop/nu-disco. In my review for 𝘏𝘰𝘸𝘭, I mentioned how you can simply hear her smile through her delivery, on "Chocolate" this feeling is emphasized. The happy emotion goes beyond the composition, beyond the chords and melodies, it's within 𝗖𝗵𝘂𝘂. Her vocals are still crystal ... read more
𝗚𝗮𝗻𝗻ø𝗻 and I have been friends for around 7-8 years I guess. We met through our love for Danish singer 𝗠Ø (the ø in Gannøn is a reference to her), and kept in touch through social media all this time. Them in the USA and me in France. As we both got into music production we started our own little projects, supporting each other and eventually decided to create a little collective made by the two of us, called "where did the time go?", but ... read more
𝘓𝘈𝘚𝘛 𝘋𝘈𝘕𝘊𝘌 marks my first time listening to 𝗟𝗜𝗠𝗘𝗟𝗜𝗚𝗛𝗧 properly, I knew about them but never went beyond what I saw at music shows. It took me a month to finally give this a go due to the scary tracklist. But I ended up only listening to the 4 real songs. I think the EP is fine, and it gets better track after track. Which means the first song is the worst and the last one the best.

I think "Hot Mess" is a really fun song, and most – if not all – of the tracks present here could easily be featured in some coming-of-age clingy/angsty lesbian movie. Or like 'Bottoms', with a super low budget and an emo main character no one knows about, in love with the girly (but not too much), intimating, kinda popular girl of the school. Both would randomly meet up at a GIRLI concert, and the rest is already written!
For real, I wouldn't usually listen to this kind ... read more
I would be lying if I said I would listen to 1h34 of tripleS instrumental, but at the same time, I would because I know they're all super great. The album title implies it's something you can put on while working, to be honest, I don't think that working while listening to the "Dimension (AAA)" instrumental is a thing my company would accept. As there's no way I'm getting anything done while bopping my head along the track, and singing the melody I know by heart. More than a tripleS ... read more
This was a surprisingly nice experience! I wasn't expecting anything since it's a debut and I don't know anything about them, besides they're in Pledis like SEVENTEEN. Through their debut EP, TWS delivers five super fun tracks that left me bopping my head during my first listen. They're different and all go well with one another thanks to their freshness. It will take me a few more plays to pick a favourite because I like them all the same amount.

Well, I wasn't expecting this at all. "Stuck In The Middle" feels like some average Western pop star made a piano version of one of her decent songs. It takes back everything you could have liked in the production of the original tune and leaves the listener with a boring piano. Except here there's not even a better version to go with. It sounds extremely flat, and the few times they try to make things more lively, it's either too short (the trap beat that comes only to disappear) or ... read more
Dear Seola, I am beyond sorry for not taking the time to review your single before. I listened to it the day it dropped, I watched the MV and your live performances, but I didn't take the time to talk about your solo debut – despite reviewing a few other projects in between (including 2 boygroups :/). I hope you can forgive me, you're my WJSN bias you know? (btw wjsn comeback in 2024???)
Now that I'm forgiven (hopefully), I can write pretty words about her debut.

It's cool to hear Seori on this kind of rock tune on "Hitman", I love her tone and this darker sound fits her just as well as the softer rnb jams she is used to. "Sad Hitman" is completely the opposite and it suffers from being way too quiet. I have to turn my volume up to properly hear the instrumental and her voice, the mixing hides Seori's vocals too much in an attempt to create an intimate and sad ambience. But it ends up boring, with nothing to truly catch your ear ... read more
DISCLAIMER! This review is long. I love to dissect IDLE's music and as this one is a full album I'll go all in. On top of that, I recently hit 300 subs, so you can consider this a special review to celebrate, where I'll format things differently! Now, let's dive in 2 it ;)
— Introduction
"Let's go on fearless we came to take a win!" that's what we get before the album comes out. And what Soyeon says (G)I-DLE will do, (G)I-DLE always do!

"Fake Chanel" signs MØ's return to the sound she started with, helped by Ronni Vindahl her long time producer, whose production is loved by fans of the Danish singer. While I don't think this song can reach 'NMTF' level, it's super cool to see her coming back with this colour to celebrate the 10 year anniversary of 'No Mythologies to Follow'. I'm super hyped for what's next!
My favourite boy group released a real single album for the first time. It's a nice reminder of how they always dropped EPs or full albums before (=more music), but I still wish they kept on dropping EPs as getting 2 new tracks feels like it's not enough for a group such as CIX, with a discography I cherish.
Only two songs, so I'll make sure to talk about them properly, starting with the title track "Lovers or Enemies". The very moment it started, I knew I was going to love it! The ... read more
HOLD ON EVERYONE! IDLE GET BEHIND ME! I know this sounds like a song for a food advert, but for whatever reason, there's a quirkiness within "Wife" that I kinda enjoy. It's true I probably won't even listen to it again after tomorrow and I don't think I can call it a "good song", but I might be able to get behind it for its voluntaty quirkiness, for the lols, the irony of the track and its hidden meaning.
Despite falling onto the obnoxious side, it's somewhat catchy, like ... read more
This marks my first time listening to Sistar19 and Sistar as a whole. I got to know them through Hyolyn on Queendom 2, and she surprised me with her amazing vocal power. While I don't think we can get much of that power on any of those two tracks, we can tell the girl is mad-skilled. As for Bora's tone, it feels softer and more delicate, and I like both their voices just as much.
Regarding the music, both songs are pretty nice, they're good dance-pop/nu-disco bops and have almost everything to ... read more
'GOOD MORNING' confirms Yena's pop-rock envy.
Yena is back with her pop-rock sound, or just back with the average pop-rock sound. I stand behind her fully going towards this route, but I need her to perform better tracks than those generic ones. It's true that none are awful and none deserve the jail folder, but they don't deserve much more either – and I love her. What I have to say for one of those four tunes, can apply to the other three, for the most part, they all lack a distinct ... read more
What's left without all the glitter?
The big question behind tripleS music is without the synths is the experience really worth it? I love their music, I love the production, as for the vocals? They do sing, yes but I don't go to tripleS because I want to hear the most skilled vocalist, I go because I know I'll get my style of sound. Aria's mission is to prove everyone doubting the girls' vocals, that they're a group that can sing wonderfully, and can do well even without the MonoTree's synth ... read more
NMIXX fixed MIXX-POP
Almost a year after their first mini-album, it's time for NMIXX to come back with another one. 'expérgo' got pretty mixed reviews, they took their distance from mixx-pop and delivered a fine EP but once you remove the title track "Love Me Like This" and the horrible "Young, Dumb, Stupid", there's nothing that memorable left. What I hope to find in the strangely titled 'Fe3O4: BREAK', is something I will not forget, and I guess we'll also find out ... read more
They're called OnlyOneOf because they're the only one of 4th gen boy groups to still drop good music!
Let's be real everyone, we are in an era where girl groups have completely taken over in terms of music quality, overall, 4th gen boy groups aren't doing music as great as the girls and it's an obvious fact. However, there are still a few men out there showing that great boy groups with A+ discographies still exist. And you guessed it, OnlyOneOf is one of them. I have yet to listen to their ... read more
