her lyrics and producing skills are really getting better and better songs after songs i love to see it!
I think I kinda liked it despite the fact it lacked originality.
I think you can hear some western pop influence on "SALUTE" and I'm not sure if it's is positive for the song as I just feel like I've already heard that many many times and want to get something new.
"DUN DUN" is a very playful song to me, what I mean is that it's a fun song to listen to and I had a nice time. It's not out of mind but it's just a cool and catchy song with a nice drop and simple chorus which ... read more
'Hush' is a okay follow-up to their debut 'ARRIVAL OF EVERGLOW' but it's not as good
There's something about "Hush" that I love, I'm not sure what is it, the way their voices match the song so well, the production, the drop, I don't know but I love it. It feels very soft and is agreeable to listen to so it's definitely a good song to me.
"Adios" feels like a banger except it's not one, I don't know if that makes sense. I would have probably liked it more without the ... read more
I do think this could have been better with more effort into trying to get their own sound than effort in trying to sound like what's already being made.
"CROWN" and "Our Summer" were the best 2 tracks for me, even tho I really feel like I already heard "Our Summer" many times (it's still catchy and I like it tbh).
I think "Blue Orangeade" is good but it gets annoying quite fast despite not being that bad. However, one song that I do think is bad is ... read more
Throughout '1999' Rich Brain shows his versatility and talent but put the cohesiveness of the project at risk.
Of course, we get the rap songs we already know he's good at like "Sometimes", "Long Run" and "Sins". But it gets interesting with the 2 single, "Love In My Pockets" and"Don't Care", where he started to show more versatility in his sound. I think these 2 fit each other but they feel more different when put along the rest of the ... read more
I personally found the B Side better than "BOY". "BOY" feels very generic it's very similar to the Blackpink magic recipe that works exceptionally well to get to a broader/mainstream audience but lacks of creativity (not shading BP here as i love them). "COME TO ME" does the job pretty well for me and I still play it. It still feels like YG is trying to apply the Blackpink formula to them.
I saw someone says that "BOY" sounds like it was supposed to be a ... read more
dude that is so cool, the only thing i don't like is the loop which gets kind of boring after a while
The way the instruments are panned for the first 50 seconds is so annoying I thought my headphone cable was broke for a moment. Also is the song even finished???? cause I really don't know with that ending.
i just found out there are people who don't like this song, u ok?????
It can get hard to find an actual nice ballad in kpop, but with "365" LOONA shows that they can do it all and woah their voices are so sweet. If I understood more than 10 Korean words and was a stan I would have probably cried as it's about their fans (called Orbits).
"So What" is catchy but the heavy edm bass feels like a lot of other kpop group's songs and lacks originality. It's not very LOONA and that could have been nice in the way that it changes from what they usually do but here it just sounds like a lot of songs we're used to hearing. It can work because that's what sells right now but it's something we all already heard and they can do better.
I liked the vocals and the prod is fine to me and does well at making this a catchy song with lyrics that are kind of basic but manage to still be entertaining and them shouting "ITZYYYYY" from time to time is really fun (ngl i will probably randomly shout itzy in my house from now on and my family will have to deal with it).
"How You Like That" is a classic BLACKPINK song, the magic formula in action. And well,,,,, I love it. The magic works on me so well and I love each of the members and would feel bad for rating it lower than 50. (I'm literally starting to learn Korean mostly because of them:) ) I love the intro with the strings, I love each of their verses and the pre-chorus as well. Yes the drop is soooo common but I still love it and I'm a sucker for Lisa and Jennie saying "look at you, now ... read more
With "my future" we finally see a happier and more confident Billie who's looking forward to what's next to come for her (regarding how much she was sad and hated herself as well as her life around 2 years ago, I'm so proud of her). It has a very smooth sound and then some lofi ish and groovy drums come and make the song danceable.
