I wanted to listen this because i wanted some Medieval-vibes music, and i had heard the song "Santiago" before so i said "Why not"
To be honest the album is...good
But it's like one song good, the next boring...one good song...the next boring
It starts off with the amazing song that is "The Mystic's Dream" which honestly what a good way to start and album....
Then it follows up with Bonny Swans which is a very good track and keeps you hooked
But then ... read more
I listened to this album back in like may and forgot to do the Review until now
This album is truly marvelous. The electronic production is stellar for the most part and with Grime's eerie vocals they give off such a spacey vibe. I think there were a couple songs that were kinda less enjoyable and "Scream" was almost bad.
But the album has some pretty good highs, specially Butterfly, Venus fly and REALiTi
Once again i'm surprised at how much i enjoyed this project, when i first learned about Azealia i would have never expected her to make such good music, but here we are LOL.
This album is really solid. The whole tracklist bangs and is full of very enjoyable songs. Even the evidently out of place "Nude Beach a-Go-Go" was still kinda enjoyable even if it definately felt as a drag on. Another subpar song was "BBD", although still kinda nice
Apart from that song however ... read more
Who would have told me that the batshit crazy lady from twitter made good music!
This EP is short and fun. With all songs banging some way or another.
I specially liked Liquorice and 1991. Van Vogue was great but it got ruined towards the end.
I kinda don't understand yet what the buzz is with 212 though. For me it was the least amusing of the 4 songs in the tracklist. Too experimental even for my taste, but still good though
However the album was lacking more outstanding highs so i ... read more
Ngl, i had never listened any Paramore before this listen, but this album was a real delight.
I enjoyed it much more than i was expecting. The band's main singer has some real powerful vocals that elevated the whole listen to another level, it complemented very well with the hype and powefull instrumentals.
I specially loved that first half which had nonstop bangers. "Careful", "Ignorance" and "Brick by Boring Brick" specially being standouts.
Towards the ... read more
Helll yeaaaah this mixtape was short, but soo goood. Pink's best project to date.
I loved the high-energy vibes in here. There was less of nightime-vibes PinkPanthress and more of the type of music that makes you want to dance like crazy.
The first half specially was outstanding. With Illegal being an amazing intro, and the already released single "Tonight" being a top tier standout
The 2nd half after the intermission did feel less enjoyable, with even some songs like ... read more
Could this be Kali Uchis' best album so far and the best R&B album of this decade????
Because honestly for me "Sincerely," has an argument for being both!
This album was incredibly solid, with all songs being incredibly good and scoring an 8/10 or more throughout the entire tracklist!
The production was stellar, and it blended so smoothfully with Kali's vocals, which as always were on point.
There were some really good highs in here, such as "Territorial", ... read more
I have never listened such a short project
Was REALLY fun nonetheless
3 songs, all bangers. Specially the 1st one "Boy's a liar", thank god this version exist so i don't have to listen to Ice Spice 😭
Honestly flawless, nothing crazy sure. But it's fun
Actually listened to this album a couple weeks ago cause i wanted to get into new artists
Sawayana is a really unique album in which she features some pretty original and unique production and even songs that sound out of HEavy Metal like XS
The first half hits super hard, specially the first 3 songs
However during the second half it slows the pace down only to pick up towards the end
Really good
A rec i got from someone on discord
Very nice album to chill to and put on the background. Very nice intstrumentals
But nothing outstanding to be fair or mindblowing.
Midnight Maruders similar to "The Low End Theory" is an incredibly solid listen
Similarily it features ATCQ's members sliding through some fun and chill beats which complement really good their fun flows and rapping.
However i felt like it lacked more of the highs seen in The Low End Theory. Songs like "Electric Relaxation", "Award tour" and "Oh my god" were great, but not on the level of The Loow end Theory.
There really wasn't any miss, ... read more
Amaraae's "Fountain baby is a top tier Afro-beats album, with some crazy production behind, this album is mostly non-stop vibes and fun!
While it is true that at first i was taken back by the weird high-pitched voice i eventually got used to her voice, it surprisingly works pretty well with the amazing production which in my opinion was the best part of this whole LP. It had the usual summer-vibes and sound of afrobeats but with a pinch of innovation and uniqueness which elevated the ... read more
Another album listen from Deftones!!
This album was better than "Around the fur". The style in "White pony" was noticeably different but it felt more consistent overall and without any low points or subpar songs. The whole runtime was engaging and while the highs weren't as good as those in "Around the fur" it had its great moments, like "Korea" and "Pink maggit"
In TLC's "CrazySexyCool" we get a pretty solid listen from this R&B trio, the album is the embodiment of 90s R&B, fun but sultry at the same time.
The production is really good for the most part and it has clear Hip-Hop influences, the vocals aren't the craziest thing ever but they do their work here and they aren't the main focus of the album tbf.
While it is true that the album has no misses throughout the tracklist there weren't any songs that i ... read more
Tinashe's Aquarius is a product of its time, representing in a lot of aspects the R&B/Pop soundscape of the early 2010s, however it does it while delivering a great enjoyable listen and sprinkling in a good amount of experimentation and boldness
The album is fun and banger-filled. There were some ballad-like songs that i didn't feel much (like Pretend with A$AP Rocky), and other songs where experimentation was tried but it didn't work out for me (like the title track). ... read more
So here we are finally, the last Young Thug classic i had left to listen to, "So much fun"
Just like the name indicates Young Thug's debut album is...well...VERY FUN
While it is true that it lacks the experimental and unique style of his old work it doesn't stop this album from being an enjoyable listen. Instead of being hard-hitting and agressive So Much Fun focuses on making an enjoyable and vibey expirience.
It succeeds in that, specially considering how there were no ... read more
A surprisingly good Pop Record from an artist i had always assumed to be just a normal one hit-wonder
This album feels like the pinnacle of early 2010s pop, getting the perfect balance of bangers while making quality songs and without generic production
While it is true that it's pretty solid and without any flaws throughout the runtime it has a lack of highs since apart from maybe "Run away with me" there were no other songs that were specially outstanding
Also towards the ... read more
